Dear Mr. President:
The purpose of this letter is to implore you to run for a second term. In the event you decide not to, please do your best to make sure Kamala runs in your place. Here are my reasons for this fervent request.
Soon you will reach 1000 days as the nation’s 46th Commander in Chief. As activities leading to the 2024 presidential election heat up, it seems constructive for the nation to reflect upon your accomplishments to this point. A report card of sorts if you will.
To start, let’s summarize your most salient character traits. These include:
Enriching yourself and your relatives through influence peddling on behalf of your scurrilous son, Hunter.
A never-ending string of outright fabrications about your past such as comparing your tiny kitchen flareup to the deadly blazes that consumed Maui and claiming to have traveled 17,000 miles with Xi. The WAPO (one of the three MOST LIBERAL papers in the country) has awarded you multiple “bottomless Pinocchios” for your untruths about the deficit, inflation, job creation, etc. That pretty much says it all. Hats off.
Daily misstatements, gaffes and errors such as referring to the Spanish Congressional Caucus as the Black Congressional Caucus then going on to insult both Hispanics and African Americans by labeling them “workers without high school diplomas”. You manage at least one gaffe a day, which is quite remarkable considering you only work part time when not on the multiple vacations you take.
A long string of unpresidential behaviors like walking off the set on MSNBC before the interview was finished, forgetting to shake the hand of the Brazilian President, losing your place in multiple news conferences, etc. Way too many to give you full credit in this document. Again, Bravo.
Nearly daily evidence of the irrefutable decline in your mental capacity and cognitive abilities. (Subsequently confirmed by Special Counsel report).
Putting those aside, let’s focus on your real accomplishments while entrusted with the leadership of our once great country. We must never forget, you presided over:
Ballooning our national debt to over $3 trillion. While other presidents have seen the debt expand significantly on their watch, few ever have seen that happen while at the same time fighting no wars and starving the military. Hats off!
Opening our southern borders so thousands of illegals, many of whom are terrorists and criminals, now flood in daily along with crateloads of deadly fentanyl. Well done.
An inflationary cycle the greatest of which we haven’t seen since the Peanut Farmer was in the Oval.
The Fed exacting the greatest string of rate hikes in the last century, while you, ever the intrepid leader, stood silently by.
Crippling our energy production thereby exacerbating our dependence and that of our allies on those great “friends” we have in the Middle East, Venezuela and Russia.
The slowing of our economy and the loss of trillions in retirement savings through a confluence of inflation, rate hikes and the decimation of our energy industry.
Supplying billions in aid to Ukraine without defining the mission, a clear strategy or holding our NATO allies accountable for doing their share given Ukraine is their neighbor, not ours.
Allowing China to march unfettered and unchallenged toward global domination. Unlike the US in Ukraine, China does have a clear mission and they are three years closer to achieving it. A mission that for sure doesn’t contemplate enhancing the well-being of the United States of America.
Extending public school lockdowns, which has accelerated the decline of our educational system and the development of our children into productive members of society.
Irrationally chasing green energy to the detriment of major industries, the safety of our electrical grids and lives in areas where brownouts and wildfires now rage.
Fueling nationwide divisiveness by using the Justice system as a weapon to damage political adversaries, sponsoring splinter groups and the violence they reek on our cities and generally fueling the spread of Woke principles in places they have no business like the classrooms of our children and the workplace of our law enforcement and military professionals.
There are other ‘accomplishments” for which you undoubtedly deserve credit (Afghan withdrawal for one), but I think this list is weighty enough. It is truly impressive even by Jimmy Carter standards.
Lest the ungrateful still wonder if you are worthy of extension, let them not forget your single greatest achievement. You are - NOT DONALD TRUMP. Surely that qualification alone (and it is alone) is enough to warrant “four more years” in your current position, which used to be the “most powerful leader” on earth.
Kudos, Mr. President. Carry on before they carry you out. We need you. You or Kamala running is the best guarantee we have of new leadership.
Sincerely
George
