One Year after Bidenomics

Under the leadership of the ATW, which mercifully ended on January 20, 2025...

our nation performed as follows:

  • Inflation hit a 40 year high.

  • The monthly mortgage payment on a median price home more than doubled.

  • The inflation-adjusted value of the average American’s weekly paycheck fell 4%.

  • Native-born Americans were losing jobs while net job growth went to foreign-born workers.

  • The cost of servicing the national debt exploded 117%.

  • Bureaucratic government jobs exploded by more than 160,000 in two and a half years.

  • Multi-trillion-dollar annual deficits were enshrined into statute.

Runaway spending by Biden and a profligate Congress crushed the American dream with 40-year-high inflation, the fastest rise in interest rates in just as long, a frozen housing market and more. The irony is that all this government spending had the initial effect of making the economic numbers look better or making consumers feel better temporarily.

As the government under Biden repeatedly fired off the cash cannon via "stimulus" payments, people thought their personal financial situations had improved because they had more money to spend. But all that cash was chasing the same quantity of products and services in the economy, so everyone quickly bid up prices everywhere. Remember - when demand exceeds supply prices GO UP!

Similarly, whenever the government spent a dollar, that was added to gross domestic product (GDP), a measure of economic activity. Runaway government spending, financed by borrowing printed money, sure made the GDP look great, until the predictable inflation arrived and robbed wage earners of their savings and incomes.

The same happened with the job market. Every government bureaucrat hired under Biden boosted the monthly jobs report, but didn’t add any production to the real economy. Likewise, every illegal alien hired boosted payrolls without employing more Americans. It wasn’t economic health, more like cancerous growth.

This past year, President Donald Trump’s economic agenda was a shock treatment of chemotherapy to kill the cancer of Bidenomics. The Trump administration has slashed more than a quarter million government bureaucrats, cutting the federal workforce to its lowest level in more than a decade. The deficit is down 27 percent from this time in the previous fiscal year. And immigration law is actually being enforced.

Just like chemo, which makes the patient feel horrible while killing the cancer, the Trump strategy comes with pain and takes time to heal.

Signs are encouraging though.

  • Inflation is coming down. Many prices aren't but their increase has been shrunk mightily.

  • Net job growth is going to Americans not foreign workers

  • And to productive industries not pencil pushing government jobs.

  • Monthly mortgage payments are going down - not enough, only 5% - but down.

  • Median house prices are down - not much, only 5% - but down.

  • Investments in US industry are surging. So is Energy production.

  • The average US paycheck is buying more - not much only +1.6% - but not less.

And, although consumers can't spend it, so too is respect for America around the globe going UP.

As reiterated ad nauseum it takes time to turn a battleship around. Especially when half of Congress is steering against you. Nonetheless it is clear that, unless the midterms sink the ship, better days are ahead.

Why Does It Takes So Long to Turn This Battleship Around?

Here's one reason.

A coalition of anti-Trump state attorneys general met "daily" during 2025 to brainstorm and organize ways to foil the administration, according to George Soros-backed New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez, an active member of the group.

In an interview with Source New Mexico published on Dec. 31, Torrez said that he and other Democratic attorneys general "were meeting on a daily basis for the first 90 or so days" of President Donald Trump’s second term.

The result? Torrez has led or signed onto 36 legal challenges against the Trump administration since January 2025. This has included a challenge to the Trump administration’s deployment of National Guard troops to Washington, D.C., as well as contesting DOGE and opposition to the administration’s immigration actions.

Makes you sick doesn't it? People elect a President, in this case by a rather substantial margin, and those elected to uphold the law conspire to bring him down.

Tragedy All Around

Attacks on Federal ICE agents tasked with implementing voter will have skyrocketed over 1000%. So, it is little surprise that grave consequences would occur. Last week one such took place in Minnesota (MN has replaced MD as one of America's most notorious offenders. CA will always be #1). A woman weaponized her vehicle to run down an ICE agent. She was shot in self defense and died.

Liberal mouthpieces in the LSM, DC and that citadel of integrity the Minnesota state government swung into immediate action. Canonizing the victim and excoriating the LEOs implementing the people's mandate.

In the weeks to come this tragedy will be continuously deplored by the left at every opportunity. Might even supplant George Floyd (also from Minnesota wasn't he?). That's saying something since the Floyd incident happened five years ago. Funny isn't it? Libs can conveniently forget about the Biden/Harris fiasco but Floyd remains a hero.

CME will report the facts on this matter once they emerge from all the distortions of the left. In the meantime, keep in mind that, only a few months ago, the very same ICE officer who defended himself was dragged by a protestor's car and ended up with 33 stitches in his leg. Hell, I'd shoot the SOB myself.

Speaking of hypocrisy. Hakeem Jeffries and other Dem slimeballs were outraged by the $ million settlement awarded to Jan 6 protestor, Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed by a DC policeman for banging on the door of the Capitol. Called it "a slap in the face to all police". But now they want to string up the ICE officer who was rammed in Minnesota. Calling his self defense...murder.

One other point that should not go unnoticed. Ever wonder why so many problems with ICE activities in Minnesota? Why so many "boots on the ground"? One does not see the same problems with ICE in Florida or Louisiana where I can guarantee there are more illegals than Minnesota. Ever wonder why there are so many ICE officers needed in Blue States like Minnesota? Tell you why. Because local law enforcement is not permitted to cooperate or assist. So, what choice does ICE have to do their jobs? Just to be safe and go home to their families at night they need more resources.

It is also important to recognize that illegal immigration is CENTRAL to Big Blue State's strategy. This is how they get cheap labor, increased federal monies and illegal votes. Without illegals the electoral and fiscal consequences for CA, IL, NY, MN etc. would be catastrophic.

Let's Give a Round of Applause

Governor Gavin Newsom gave his final State of the State address in California this week. He spent much of it not talking about the catastrophic budget deficits, boondoggles such as the infamous unfinished rail line, the wildfires, the runaway homelessness, drug addition and crime or the multitude of other California misfortunes.

No, instead he took the opportunity to lambast the Trump administration. The cornerstone of his rant, the Minnesota ICE incident, which he called "state-sponsored terrorism". He called California a "beacon" for the nation. Yeah right, Follow that beacon until you crash headlong into the rocks and sink.

Let's take a moment to pray this effete buffoon never gets to make a State of the "Union" address. There's a reason they call him the U-Haul Governor.

Scary Iran Update

There is a near 100% internet blackout so reliable reports are hard to come by.

HRANA (Human Right Activist News Agency) reports 11,000 imprisoned and up to 2000 killed as Iranian government uses drones to target protestors with snipers. 600 confirmed kills have occurred. Not sure how they get their news but chances are it's pretty bad.

After 15 days, protests are taking place at 585 locations in 186 cities in all 31 provinces. Now the government is setting up to execute the first protestors for a "war against God". Tough sledding for the Moolahs. Without the ability to bring in terrorists from Hamas and Syria they have no choice but to slaughter the protestors themselves.

Same movie, different theater. Leftwing stirs up people claiming the wealthy are responsible for their woes. Dictator takes over by promising the military they will get rich. Lasts for several years. Economy tanks. Things get 10X worse. Wealthy and industries jump ship. Protests begin, first peacefully, then violent, then deadly. Government cracks down. And eventually (except in Cuba) the dictatorship is over thrown. Datapoint after datapoint proves socialism never works. Mostly because it is a ruse to cover up the Left power grab.

Belief in the unlimited power of a totalitarian government to maintain itself and protect its rulers is a dangerous conceit, as Syria's Bashar al-Assad and Venezuela’s Nicholas Maduro have both discovered. It may be that Ayatollah Khamenei is in the process of discovering the same hard reality: No government, no matter how ruthless, can endure for centuries or even decades in the face of a resentful population. Not Rome, not the Soviet Union. Only Cuba.

In case it's not clear, Iran is important. They have oil and they sponsor terrorism. They are in bed with CRINK plus Cuba, Venezuela, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and every other crackpot regime on the planet. They ship more oil to China than anyone. The LSM is doing its upmost to ignore. Same for left wingers on the Hill. If an issue can't be twisted to GET TRUMP it's of little interest to the left.

Interesting given how the Libs bled for the terrorists of Hamas, but no protests at Columbia for the poor Iranians. Guess it's too hypocritical even for them to criticize the chief sponsor of their beloved Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists. Never mind - must be the Jews' fault.

Here comes Trump...

Let's not sleep on the Mexican cartels. It's become pretty clear they're laying low 'til Trump Time is over.

Fins Out of Luck

Just to be clear, Marco will not accept the head coaching position for the Miami Dolphins.

Getting Trashed on Golden Globes

...is proof what Bari Weiss is trying to do at CBS is good stuff. Hope she can weather the Left because they will keep on coming.

Red Army Blue

Russia's state of the art Air Defense system sold to Venezuela failed. Same system failed miserably in Iran. They expected to take overthrow Ukraine in 3 to 4 weeks. Three to four years later still fighting and losing 40,000 soldiers a month. Must be time for a few more Russian Generals to swan dive off their balconies.

American Foreign Policy - Clear Enough Now?

Forever the erudite Woke class, effete snobs they are, declared Trump an imbecile on foreign policy. Had no strategy, no experience, no appreciation for the nuances, the subtleties.

Well, has that ever been put to bed.

Here's the Trump Foreign Policy...

Don't kill Americans

Don't steal our ideas or our property

Don't send illegal drugs to America

Don't send terrorists or criminals

Or,

We'll come and kill you!!!

Bloom off the Rose

For me with regard to JD. Heard the other day he opined that the solution for the Iran crisis was for the Moolah to sit down with us and negotiate. What a dummy. What and maybe we should send them another planeload of cash. I think he's bitter cause he's playing clear second fiddle to Marco and Scottie Bessent.

Trump's successor if election was now? Marco or Ronnie D.

0% to Republicans

Talk about fair and balanced. Zero percent (0%) of the donations from the professors at Yale went to Republicans.

Enjoy this Chilly Weekend!
