Trump Assassination Attempts: 2

But the race in still within the margin of error. However, Harris may have the edge because the LSM is blaming the assassination attempts on the the inflammatory rhetoric of Trump and JD.

SS says Trump will receive Full Perimeter Protection from now on, so assassination attempts may slow.

Just When You Think They Can't Go Lower.

The NYT published a piece accusing Chief Justice John Roberts of sandbagging for Trump. Apparently one of the justices (I'm betting Sotomayer) leaked memos and notes from private, totally confidential meetings among the nine justices. The Times accuses Roberts of trying to achieve consensus and bring other judges to see his point of view around issues like a state can't kick a Presidential candidate off the ballot (CO) and Presidential immunity is a necessity if we expect future Presidents to do the right thing. Isn't that exactly what the Chief Justice is "chief" for?

I'm telling you if we lose the Senate, there goes the filibuster and the coast is clear for SCOTUS packing and adding PR & DC as states. Four more guaranteed Senate votes for the Dems.

How Screwed Up is This?

(NY Post 9/16/24) HEADLINE: Cornell hate prof is a stain on the academy — and there are hundreds just like him.

Cornell University professor Russel Rickford is back teaching at the school after calling the Oct. 7 attacks against Israel "exhilarating" last year.

The remarkable thing about Russell Rickford is that there is nothing remarkable about him.

The Cornell University prof gained notoriety in the immediate aftermath of Oct. 7 by declaring that he found the terror attack “exhilarating.”

He wasn’t specific about what was more exciting to him — the slaughter of hundreds of people at a music festival, including wounded people at point-blank range, the mass hostage-taking, the burning of people alive or the horrific sexual violence.

For the committed anti-Zionist, there must be so many thrilling moments to choose from.

Then Rickford added to his toxic brew the contention that Palestinians and Gazans on that day “were able to breathe, they were able to breathe for the first time in years. It was exhilarating. It was energizing. And if they weren’t exhilarated by this challenge to the monopoly of violence, by this shifting of the balance of power, then they would not be human. I was exhilarated.”

The problem with this passage isn’t that the sentiment is flat out wrong — it’s that it's widespread.

Sadly, Rickford was correct that many Palestinians exulted in innocent Israeli civilians getting gunned down in cold blood, but this was the perverse reaction of a people so twisted by hatred that no one with an ounce of humanity could excuse, let alone share in.

It’s a little like saying, “I wholeheartedly oppose harm coming to any Olympic athletes, but the 1972 Munich massacre sure was thrilling. I have never felt so excited.”

Afterward, Rickford apologized for his “horrible choice of words.” But his remarks at a pro-Palestinian rally at the Ithaca Commons on Oct. 15 weren’t a matter of mere vocabulary. He didn’t say “exhilarating” when he meant to use a word that means the opposite, or something less positive.

What’s outrageous isn’t that he hasn’t been disciplined by the school, but that he fits in so seamlessly.

If Rickford, a history professor, went somewhere else to ply his wares, he’d in all likelihood be replaced by someone with equally pernicious views. What are the odds that Cornell is going to find — or want — a more fair-minded, down-the-middle instructor for its “Socialism in America” course?

Elite colleges are suffused with a deeply anti-Western ideology that defines the humanities, and makes the likes of Rickford more the norm than the fringe.  Cornell faculty members joined in the anti-Israel encampment at the school last spring, and a diversity and inclusion officer expressed admiration for the Palestinian “resistance” upon the occasion of the Oct. 7 attack, hailing the struggle “against settler colonization, imperialism, capitalism, white supremacy, [of] which the United States is the model.”

That elite institutions, given such influence over the development young people, are so hostile to our own civilization is one of the scandals of the age. Thoughtless radicalism is commonplace, indeed banal.

As If City & State Taxes Weren't Enough

NYC Council has passed a resolution approving reparations for victims of slavery.

At the moment one could pay as as high as 19% on top of federal income tax for state, city and sales tax if you live in NYC. And you think they're moving out in droves now? Wait until NUC residents have to pay people who weren't affected for something they didn't have anything to do with or were even alive during.

Here's a Beaut!

Denver City Council has voted to take your money from Biden's American Rescue Plan to offer vagrants a menu of handout options. One calls for a $1000 a month. A second will provide $6500 up front and then $500 a month. A third is simply $50 up front. Best of all, the plans will apply only to women and transgenders.

Congratulations to The Centennial State. They now have the highest homeless rate as a % of population the country.

An interesting sidelight. In another part of Colorado, Douglass County, they decided enough was enough and put up 70 signs saying, "No More Handouts". Guess who has no more homeless?

In case you forgot, the American Rescue Plan was a Biden Boondoggle that was meant to address the Covid crisis well after it had abated. There's still billions left (of your money) in the kitty. Gotta spend it somewhere otherwise it might get returned to that greedy 1% - or you.

You may remember it was Aurora, CO just a few weeks ago who had Venezuelan gangs terrorizing citizens in their homes.

Lest You Think the Venezuelan Gang in CO was a One Off

Here's a recent headline...Families in swing state afraid to let kids play outside after Venezuelan migrant attacks mom, child: lawmaker

A member of Venezuela's Tren de Aragua gang was arrested in a tiny Wisconsin community (more victims thousands on miles from the southern border) for allegedly sexually assaulting a mother and abusing her daughter after he had been arrested and released earlier this year in Minneapolis.

Republican Rep. Derrick Van Orden, whose grandchildren live less than a mile away from the Prairie du Chien home where the mother and daughter were held against their will and repeatedly victimized, told Fox News Digital that it was only a matter of time before tragedy would strike the community amid the White House's open-border policies and sanctuary city initiatives.

Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, 26, assaulted the woman and child "under particularly brutal circumstances," and attacked his victims "over the course of a period of time," Prairie du Chien Police Chief Kyle Teynor said at a September 9 press conference following Coronel Zarate's arrest.

Teynor said that Coronel Zarate had tattoos associating him with Venezuela's Tren de Aragua gang, which originated in the country's prisons and has since grown a foothold in several areas across the United States.  Members are accused of a series of high-profile crimes across the U.S., including the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley and the shooting of two NYPD officers during an arrest in June

These animals were released from Venezuelan prisons and deported they were so evil. First to Chile and Ecuador and now...the good ole USA. What do you think Trump will do to the Tren de Aragua boys?
