No Happy Holidays for Me.

110

Francis Albert's birthday was December 12. Would have been 110. Hard to believe its been 27 years since he passed. The man with the perfect pitch. So many of Christmas' greatest songs came from Ole Blueyes.

Dems Going Nuts over Trump's Efforts

...to stop drugs from flowing into the US and killing thousands. Calling his actions to enforce sanctions and interdict drug running boats from Maduro "unconstitutional". Don't they know we have the internet? It's not hard to find when HW Bush invaded Panama to stop drug running Noreiga and Congress said nary a word. Or when Bush declared "This will Not Stand" after Saddam invaded Kuwait (and our oil fields). Or the Dems gave their blessing when Obama went into Libya or killed civilians with drones chasing Al Qaeda and ISIS. Or went Biden sent drones into Afghanistan so he'd looked like a tough guy after the withdrawal debacle. What's the big diff?

Which NFL Quarterback Said...

I can't see over the line? There was too much crowd noise (at home) to hear the signals? We couldn't hear the plays in the huddle (on MNF)? I'm no Josh Allen?

The one to whom the Dolphins paid $212 million and just benched. It's gonna cost $100 million to dump him.

Not a Fan

...of making Pot "more accessible" This ain't your mother's Pot any more from what I hear. Lots stronger and too often laced with fentanyl. You can get high walking around some neighborhoods.

This is Big

Trump ordered States to stand down on regulating AI. Now don't get me wrong. States should make the call on lots of stuff. But not things that affect us all. Like AI. Too damn important. We can't beat China if developers have to steer through a rats nest of intersecting and offsetting state regulations. Look at insurance for example.

I know, I know. Nine scariest words, but we HAVE TO GET THIS RIGHT.

Badly Misguided

Hard to believe a university which students pay $100,000 a year to attend with an $8 billion endowment and an administrative staff of 4,000 for 11,000 students can't afford security cameras and a proper security system. Think Brown University. Just another Ivy League WOKE fiasco.

And On the Same Note

A recent report shows Yale University does not have a single faculty member across all 27 departments that is a registered Republican. Fair and balanced, eh? Unafraid - apparently not.

And It Ain't Just the Ivies

Leaked PowerPoint lessons from a first-year education course at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign revealed the extreme left-wing bias on the topics of illegal immigration, race and gender.

In the course for first semester students titled "Identity and Difference in Education," the lesson from week 15 was called "Living in Uncertainty: Understanding Immigrant, Migrant, & Refugee Student Populations," and contained 25 slides promoting leftist talking points on immigration.

The curricula included instruction on language and terms (not illegal - undocumented), Latine (no, not a typo. It's the gender neutral term for Latino) youth in the Trump era, how to deal with ICE, internalized oppression, racial superiority, how students with minoritized identities are treated, white supremacy and xenophobia caused by Trump, etc.

I have no doubt this instruction will prove immensely valuable to graduates as they skulk in their parent's basement with their shiny new college degree and $100K in loans to repay. Can you imagine shelling out $60-70K a year for this poison?

Remember Hannah?

Probably not. Hannah Dugan is the Milwaukee Circuit Judge who helped the criminal illegal alien sneak out the back door of her court house to avoid ICE. Well - looky here. After six hours she was found guilty of criminal obstruction. Faces five years. Probably serve five days. But at least it's something. Betcha she's back on the bench the day after New Year's.

At Least There were Two - Kinda.

The View had 128 liberal guests in 2025. Two conservative ones. And one was Marjorie Traitor Greene. Another fount of fair and balanced journalism.

Evil Capitalism

In case you missed it, AOC made a critically important trip to Puerto Rico this past August. Campaign filings show the congresswoman spent upwards of $50,000 on luxury hotels, meals, catering and stage-side box seats at a Bad Bunny concert (You remember Bugs, right? He's the reason you don't have to worry about missing the Halftime show at SB 60). No doubt her district in Queens, overrun by drug dealers and prostitutes, will benefit mightily from the insight gained.

As predicted, It Ain't Just the Gopher State

Lest you think Timmy's Medicaid fraud in Minnesota, which likely tops $2 billion, is a one off, guess again.

Consider Ohio. In 2019, it had an improper payment rate of nearly 45%, giving the Buckeye State the worst record in the nation for waste, fraud and abuse. Based on its most recent spending levels, Ohio would be on the hook to repay $9.7 billion, equal to roughly 15% of its current state budget. Illinois, with a 35.4% rate, would owe $6.4 billion, a tough ask given the state’s famous fiscal woes. Even states with lower improper payment rates, like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Missouri, would still be looking at annual costs of more than $1 or $2 billion.

Federal law requires states to repay to the Federal coffers any "improper payments" in Medicaid above 3%. In 2020 (last data we have) improper payments were estimated at 27.4%. An improper payment means our taxpayer dollars were shoveled out to recipients with no damned right to receive them. Likely one out of every four is fraudulent.

Here's the rub...if Trump demands these repayments voters will penalize Republicans, not the deadbeat Democrats that run their states.

Coal in the Stocking

98 Minnesota mayors have warned state fiscal policies are hurting cities, residents and local budgets. A letter to state lawmakers cites fraud, unchecked spending and forcing property tax increases on residents and businesses.

"Fraud, unchecked spending, and inconsistent fiscal management in St. Paul have trickled down to our cities—reducing our capacity to plan responsibly, maintain infrastructure, hire and retain employees, and sustain core services without overburdening local taxpayers," the letter states.

Sounds like a Not So Merry Christmas for Timmy.

On the State of New York City

Just returned. Great restaurants. Great Christmas tree. Beautiful Cathedral. Ferociously cold. And crowds/traffic like I've never seen in my 70 years of visiting/living there. The 15 minute cab from LaGuardia to midtown took an hour and twenty. Not sure when I'll return. May be time to ring down the curtain on my ATF. Sad but true.

Wish I Were Driving Somewhere

GasBuddy reports thanks to an average gas price of $2.79 holiday travelers will save $500 million this holiday season (v. last Christmas). Promise Made - Promise Kept.

In Oregon...

The Salem City Council voted on Dec. 8 to reappoint 47-year-old Kyle Hedquist, who served 27 years in prison for the execution-style murder of a 19-year-old woman, to the city’s Community Police Review Board.

"Kyle brings a perspective that most of us don't have," City Councilwoman Vang wrote in a post on her official Facebook page. "As someone who's been through the criminal justice system, he understands community safety from a different angle. He's one voice among nine — he's not running the show, but his experience matters."

Seems to be trend, no? Mamdani appointed a two time felon to his team. A little inexperienced though. All he did was beat a cabbie over the head with a bottle. Experience matters.

Does this Mean They Can Vote?

As has been postulated many times herein, liberals care not a whit about the well being of illegal immigrants. They care only about padding voter rolls with those beholding to and willing to vote down the line for Democratic tickets. It ain't about compassion, it's about staying in power.

A federal judge on Tuesday cleared the way for New York’s so-called Green Light Law, ruling against the Trump administration’s effort to block the state from giving people driver's licenses without requiring proof that they are in the U.S. legally. This ruling prohibits law enforcement officers from checking a driver's criminal record upon a traffic stop.

There have been cases where the name on the driver's license was - get this - NO NAME GIVEN. Well, I just don't get this. How is it right for authorities to be working proactively to make life easier for those who break the law to keep breaking the law? Have to assume that having a Driver's License means you can stroll into a voting booth and click away. Or better yet get your absentee ballot.

At every turn liberals are doing their level best to thwart the will of the people.

Nice Try Pocahontas

The Social Security Administration’s internal watchdog has confirmed that the agency’s publicly reported phone service data was accurate and that performance improved during fiscal year 2025, according to a new audit completed after Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, questioned whether the figures could be trusted.

The audit found that SSA served 68 million callers during fiscal year 2025, a 65% increase from the prior year. Average wait times fluctuated early in the year but improved steadily, according to the audit, ending the fiscal year at roughly seven minutes in September after peaking at about 30 minutes in January.

Seems FBI is Back to Work

Doing what they're paid to do. Keep Americans safe.

The FBI revealed Tuesday that total arrests for violent crimes have skyrocketed in 17 key cities under the Trump administration compared with the same period under Biden.

According to documents released by the Bureau, annual arrests remained steady under former President Joe Biden but quickly doubled in Trump’s first year in office in 17 of its field offices.

Bet you didn't hear that on CNN, NBC, CBS...

Could It Be?

New CBS CEO Bari Weiss pulled a 60 minute segment on El Salvadorean prisons because it was fake news. Said...radical decisions are needed to "restore public trust". Such nerve.

May the Lord's Peace Find You This Christmas Season
