In What World?

How about Another Round of Protests for those Poor Palestinians?
American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin and 5 other hostages were 'brutally murdered' by Hamas right before rescue. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23, was among 5 hostages the IDF says Hamas murdered while Israeli troops were drawing near.
Hamas savages killed six hostages Saturday, including Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, as Israel Defense Forces closed in for a rescue attempt in the tunnels deep below Gaza's Rafah. Goldberg-Polin's family confirmed his death early Sunday. His body was one of six recovered on Saturday. The IDF revealed that Hamas killed the hostages, who had been held for nearly 11 months, just as they were on the brink of freedom.
Goldberg-Polin, 23, was abducted at a music festival in southern Israel during Hamas' Oct. 7 attack against the Jewish State. He lost part of his left arm to a grenade in the attack. His body was recovered Saturday in the tunnels under Rafah, along with Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi and Master Sergeant Ori Danino.
What I don't get is why all the outcries for a "deal"? Animals who murder innocent hostages don't want a deal. Or maybe they do, so they can rearm.
In what world does the leader of one major country get to blame the leader of his greatest ally for not doing enough to bring about peace when the enemy has invaded, killed 1200 citizens, maimed and raped and then, 300 days later, executes six hostages with a bullet in the back of their head? All the while turning down multiple "deals" many of which had the US stamp of approval? In Biden/Harris' world - that's where.
In What World...
Is anyone in favor of:
An unsecure border across which 11 million illegals have already flooded - many of whom are terrorists, gang members, criminals and importing boatloads of fentanyl?
After which we will forgive their illegality and reward them with free welfare, healthcare, lodging, and lord knows what else.
Relying on sworn enemies and bad actors for energy and crucial other materials and components?
A school system that berates its country, supports terrorists, teaches gender ambiguity, ridicules the role of parents and consistently turns out inferior students?
Defunding the police and defenestrating the military?
Running up a debt that costs a $1 trillion a year in interest alone to carry?
Men being allowed to play women's sports. Kids being allowed to undergo transexual mutilation with parental permission?
For those "not" into politics, do these policies make sense? Do you think they'll be good for the kids down the road?
How can so many Americans be so blindly partisan and irrational as to support these outcomes?
In the end, truly we will get the government we deserve.
And the Beat Goes on at the Cesspool by the Bay
49ers first-round pick Ricky Pearsall was shot during a robbery attempt in San Francisco. Niners say Pearsall is in 'serious but stable condition'.
"This afternoon, there was an attempted robbery in Union Square involving San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and he was shot," Mayor London Breed’s statement on X said. "SFPD was on scene immediately and an arrest of the shooter was made.
This happened, by the way, at 3 pm in broad daylight. And we're considering putting Harris in charge of law and order nationwide.
Pearsall has been released and is covering, thankfully.
In What World
Do individuals who never built anything or created anything of substantive end up with three mansions of the priciest real estate on the planet?
Answer - if you inherit $ billions or you are a Ward of the Taxpayers like...
Obama, Clintons, Biden, Harris, Schumer, Pelosi (actually her husband), Sanders...pretty much all Dems.
So easy to preach when you can never go bankrupt.
As a business owner, if nobody wants what you're selling, you go bust. When a politician's spending fails to create jobs or reduce the debt, first, they lie about the results then wait until the promise fades away because, after all, it's always a "decade later" until results were due.
Finally, if a politician's "buy the votes" plans fail, they grab another fistful of taxpayer dollars and try again. After Kamala blew it in SF, she became AG for the whole damned state. After she voted for a passel of harebrained ideas in the Senate, she became VP. After she failed as Border Tsar, she's running for President, of course.
When someone fails, don't they usually take a step backward and regroup? Any system that removes personal risk eliminates accountability.
"When the facts change, I change my mind." (John Maynard Keynes)
Please, please tell me exactly which facts changed that legitimized Harris to flip-flop on healthcare, energy, illegal immigration? Except, of course, she's now running for the biggest job on earth, so people might actually give a tinker's damn about what she thinks.
School Choice Update
This essential movement is gaining steam. In red states only. Fourteen states now have.
School choice is the biggest no brainer since secure borders.
The big resistance is from...duh, the Teachers Union. One of the largest voting blocks in the country. More importantly, from political candidates who suck at the teat of Teacher Unions.
The arguments against are twofold. Politicians in rural areas claim there are no choices in their district. This is clearly BS. If there are no choices, then parents must stay with the only choice they have. If parents stay, the money and Union jobs stay too.
The Unions and their sycophant politicians also argue that choice robs public school of funds badly needed for underpaid teachers.
Talk about a specious argument...if public schools actually educated their students instead of filling their heads with lies and amoral philosophies, there would be no reason to leave. But when outcomes are like the City of Baltimore in which 50% of public high schools have 0% math proficiency, they ain't performing.
Plus - the answer is not teacher pay. On average, in the USA, we spend $20,000 per student in the public schools PER SCHOOL YEAR. In a class of 25, that's $500,000 a year. You mean to tell me there's not enough to compensate teachers who do their job well? There sure as hell is. Instead, increasingly bloated school budgets are being used to pay Admin, DEI police, counselors and, of course, to sway political outcomes, instead of those who actually teach. Case in point - Minnesota. Spending up 20+% and academic performance down, down, and down.
School choice is the epitome of free market logic. Do your job well, meet customer expectations and you get to keep your job (but not your doctor).
Interesting corollary...where school choice exists, public school performance frequently improves and quickly. What is that called again? Errr...free market competition?
Thank goodness kids have their own union. It's called Parents!
More on Aurora, CO Gang Story
You remember the one about Venezuelan gangs terrorizing citizens? Turns out two women had this gang in the hall outside their apartments, banging on the door with rifles in hand. They had bullet holes in their windshields. When they called the police (3X), and finally got someone on the line, the police refused to come and said the federal government had taken charge. Just great, eh?
Still Confused
Harris with "coach" Walz in tow finally sat down for a totally scripted interview on Lame Stream TV. Talk about underhand pitches. While she confirmed she was backtracking on most every one of her previous policy positions (fracking, welfare for illegals, Medicare for all), she assured everyone that her "values have not changed." What in the hell does that mean?
Let me guess. It was a "wink-wink" to all her wokesters that when she wins it'll be back to business as usual. Just like Barack pulled.
Unhappily...
Trump has not subscribed to CME.
If the Trump campaign were to call and ask my advice, here's what I'd suggest...
Clean up your act on Abortion (only issue on which Libs are strong). Just say..."I do not support a federal ban on Abortion. Repeat - I do not support. More importantly, as President, I will uphold the law and support the right of each state to decide its own policy on abortion - as the law dictates. It is clear we have widely differing beliefs across this country, so let the citizens of each state decide what is best for them. (The hell with the far right, pro lifers. If they are so irrational as to throw the baby out with the bathwater, then pox on them. No pun intended - okay, maybe a little.)
People don't like attackers or sarcasm. In the debate, which might be the only opportunity to put Harris on the spot - steer well clear of the personal attacks. Even when Harris calls you a felon, a dilletante or women abuser. Don't take the bait! Just say..."There you again. Can we pause a minute from hating Trump and please tell us what you plan to do about... (the border, our energy, etc.)
Keep asking - "Why didn't you do that up until now? You had almost 4 years."
Ask - what does it mean you don't want to have a repeat of the last decade? Your party was in charge for 6 of the last 10 years." "What did you mean when you said "My values haven't changed?"
End by saying to the American people, "You may not like me, my personality or my style. But think about your kids. Unless we get the border under control, rebuild our military, stop relying on countries who despise us for our energy and critical materials, stop inflation and stop spending recklessly, the future is in real jeopardy."
Our System is Flat Out Broken!
Since 2005 the number of bills passed in the Senate is 5%. Five freaking per cent. In other words, all the work, time and $$$ spent on 19 out of 20 motions goes in the drink. That is down 90% from only 20 years ago. The massively expensive law making body we call the "Congress", once the jewel of a functional democratic process (of sorts), is nothing more than a quagmire. Nothing gets done. The only way anything moves is with the President's pen. Most of which are immediately undone when the opposition moves into 1600.
What a farce.
It is amazing that with the horrendous problem we have - growing worse every day - with illegal immigration that we cannot pass a truly comprehensive immigration bill. Amazing.
Unfortunately the Libs solution for the perpetual stalemate is do away with the filibuster . The filibuster is, of course, the "unlimited debate" Senate rule, which allows never-ending debate to be used to forestall a vote on pretty much any motion or bill. Except presidential appointments. To STOP debate, the cloture rule must be enacted. This takes 60 "yeahs" (out of 100).
Without the filibuster, a simple 51-49 or vote by Vice President Harris could and would be used to pass motions. They would like nothing better than to pass amnesty for 10 million illegals who can vote Democratic every time. Then they would make DC & PR states. Four more Democratic senators. You get it.
Because our Congress gets it right so much of the time it's understandable that House incumbents win reelection 95% of the time. In the Senate, it's tougher. Incumbents win 85% of the time.
But who can argue? They're doing such a bang up job for us all!
Must Really Stick in His Craw. What was He Thinking?
Mark Cuban polled followers on X as to whether they preferred their kids to be like Trump or Harris. Trump won in a landslide. By more than 30 points.
"Whose persona and character would you like to see young children grow up to have?" Cuban wrote on a two-way poll with the two options being Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
Trump won the poll 68.9% to just 31.1% for Harris, with a total of 804,173 votes when the poll ended.
Cuban, the ungrateful capitalist that he is, came out for Kamalot. What was he thinking?
Milton Friedman once said (paraphrased)
Don't have to change Congress. Nothing wrong with Congress. Just have to always remember - People in Congress are in "business". The business of buying votes. You don't have to change the mind of those who are for the wrong things. All you have to do is make it politically profitable for them to do the right things.
Spot on!
The Media Really is Despicable.
Nowhere on earth, never in history has the Media had the unfettered freedom to TELL THE TRUTH that it enjoys in these United States. No censorship, no threats, no crackdowns, no jail time.
And how does it respond? Despicably.
Anything that might possibly reflect favorably on Trump is ignored, if not twisted. Never a good thing to say. They openly cheer for his demise. They couldn't even report the reality of his assassination attempt, which more and more is smelling like Intentional Oversight on the part of the Secret Service.
Despite inarguably the best economic, international, indeed Presidential performance since Ronald Reagan President Trump is portrayed as a lying, philandering, despot bent on destroying America.
Never before has the media sacrificed so mightily its dignity and with it all credibility. Only Congress polls lower.
It has never been more true that government and freedom are inversely proportional.
Debt and Other Perspectives
First of all, it is important to recognize that our economy is an aircraft carrier when it comes to form reversals. All the tax and regulatory cuts in the world take time to percolate through the economy and manifest themselves in GDP and personal wages growth.
When Trump took over the Debt was $20 Trillion. Before Covid it was up to $23 Trillion or 15% over three years. Then Covid and stimulus hit out the wazoo.
When Biden took over Covid was waning, businesses were back open, vaccines were everywhere. Yet Joe decided to convince voters they were right by forcing through two enormous stimulus packages. An infrastructure bill and an Inflation Reduction Act. Both were thinly disguised and filled with handouts and Green Energy bullshat.
Biden has increased the debt from just under $27 Trillion (after Covid) to nearly $36 Trillion or almost 40%. Without a pandemic to fight. All while weakening significantly border security and the military.
Biden/Harris take huge credit for job creation, however exaggerated and ignoring we lost 22 million jobs during Covid. Well, fact is 83% of those jobs were in three industries. Healthcare, hospitality and GOVERNMENT. While taking care of sick people is both necessary and productive, there is little of sustainable value created by government jobs or slinging hamburgers.
Yet, Harris wants to slam capital gains tax. Wants to raise to 28% on those earning over $1 million. Doesn't this dizbat understand Eco 101. Jobs are created by startups and small businesses. Robust job creation demands capital, which investors will happily provide if their gains are taxed at rates well below income. Otherwise - no dice.
Duh. Kill the goose...
Hunter Pleads Guilty Again
Apparently his lawyer's plan to argue he was too drunk or high to pay taxes didn't pass muster.
As you might recall, Hunter pled guilty to lying on his application for a firearm earlier this year.
With all counts combined, the total maximum prison time for the charges could be up to 25 years. Each count carries a maximum fine of $250,000 and three years of supervised release.
The Big Guy has said repeatedly he will not pardon. Believe that and I've got a bridge in AZ for sale.
Time to go. The NFL starts tonight!
One last thought.
