How about a Little Rush?

Since news is sparse.
Why not revel (again) in a few pearls from America's Anchorman, the Doctor of Democracy?
In order for the government to give, it must first take away.
Liberals measure compassion by how many people are given welfare. Conservatives measure compassion by how many no longer need it.
Liberals always exempt themselves from the rules they impose on others.
Bigot: a person who wins an argument with a liberal.
No nation has ever taxed itself into prosperity.
In a country of children where the options are Santa Claus or work, guess what wins?
Now, what is the left's world view in general? What is it? If you had to attach, not a philosophy, but an attitude. It is one of pessimism, darkness, sadness. Seems like liberals are never happy. Always angry.
Liberals never attack conservative ideas. Instead they attack conservatives themselves.
What about feeling sorry for those who actually pay taxes? Those are the people nobody ever feels sorry for. They are asked to give and give until they have no more to give. Then when they say "that's enough", they are called selfish.

How the Dems Voted
Previously we reported on the content of the Big Beautiful Bill, which recently passed Congress and has been signed into law. We highlighted its critically important increases in military and border security spending as well as the avoidance of a $4 trillion tax increase.
For the record here is how the Democratic members of Congress voted in the spirit of doing what's best for Americans (Hah - I meant their reelection aspirations).
Every Democrat voted AGAINST tax relief for working families.
Every one voted AGAINST $165 billion for border security.
And AGAINST $150 billion for badly needed upgrades to our military capabilities.
They also voted against common sense Medicaid reforms such as a work requirement for able-bodied adults not caretakers or parents of children under 15. A whopping 40 hours a month. Voted against regular reviews of Medicaid rolls to remove dead people and those ineligible. Also no to reductions in Medicaid payments to states who provide coverage to illegals.
No to the elimination of $115 billion in green energy handouts. And another nyet to new energy development leases in the Alaskan National Refuge, critical to national energy self sufficiency.
Please remind all your non MAGA friends of how these "patriots" voted come mid term election time.
Another Warning
No pain no gain. Just because things seam headed in the right direction on many fronts does not mean there are not choppy waters ahead. The battleship can't righted quickly without some seasickness. Can't cut boatloads of useless government jobs and expect to replace them overnight. Of course, unemployment may rise. Can't force trading partners to renegotiate bad deals without prices jumping short term. Of course, there will be an inflation blip.
So, is a recession likely? Maybe, but in the long run what is being done is absolutely necessary if ever we are to get back on the right road.
Boston Beans
A 2024 report compiled by the Boston Public Health Commission reports that there was a 47.1% increase in drug usage mortality rates between 2020-2022 compared to 2017-2019 in the Beacon Hill, Back Bay, North end and West End communities, which are near each other. Similarly, data compiled by the Boston Police Department indicates that there was a significant increase in overall theft incidents in 2025 compared to the five-year average in the area, including Beacon Hill. Mind you - Beacon Hill is one of the richest neighborhoods in Boston.
Really surprised this is happening after...In 2022, Democratic Boston Mayor Michelle Wu helped launch a needle exchange program, including the distribution of free pipes that can be used to smoke crack or methamphetamine in a "harm reduction" strategy. In fairness, Wu did veto a bill defunding the police.
Again - in fairness - I guess its pretty hard for the Mayor to do the right thing when the Governor is handing out millions to illegals. After reluctantly shutting down her sanctuary state’s migrant shelters, Democratic Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey simply shifted the costs over to a program that makes migrants eligible to receive at least $30,000 in housing assistance over two years.
The overtly liberal Boston Herald reported in June that the Healey administration had increased spending in Massachusetts’ HomeBASE program to $97 million in 2025, up from $9.5 million in 2022, according to state data.
Zohran steals a page.
As soon as Kamala became the last ditch nominee she began back-peddling at the speed of sound. Walking back all those idiotic leftwing positions from her past.
Looks like Mamdani has taken heed. Starting to weasel on, if not outright disavow, multiple policy positions. Including his promise to divert funds from law enforcement. Wait until some billionaire's kid gets assaulted on the upper East side.
Wait, this was not only Harris' strategy, it was Obama's too. Say anything to get elected and then do as you please. Promises Made - Promises Ignored.
Protecting the Snail Darter
Every time we turn around we hear news of one bloated government agency or another sucking up taxpayer monies and mushrooming our national debt for little good reason.
Here's more examples...
9000 are employed by the US Fish & Wildlife Service, largely to enforce the Endangered Species Act, which bludgeons private property owners, especially ranchers and farmers, with an encyclopedia of downright ridiculous regulations.. Remember when Gavin diverted whole rivers to protect some kind of "smelt". Meanwhile the Wildfire State burns every year.
12,000 work in the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration to regulate marine species. Remember three different sets of regulations for salmon based on whether they are in the ocean, the river or the spawning grounds?
Add in a boatload more deadbeats in the US Army Corp of Engineers and the US EPA and you no longer have a battalion, you have an entire army whose primary mission is to...REGULATE, REGULATE, REGULATE.
The epitome of work expands to fill the time available (and paid for by taxpayers)
I have hard time believing we need these kind of payrolls to protect the snail darter while sucking up billions in taxpayer funds and ballooning America's national debt.
Oh sorry, I forgot. That's Chapter 2 of the liberal's playbook - stay in power by providing do nothing jobs.
New Census Ordered
Remember when we queried why illegals count in the US Census? Turns out that practice too may soon be squashed to which I say good riddance.
Head count in a state's census affects government expenditures, representation in Congress and electoral votes in Presidential elections. The bigger your "population" the more $$$ a state gets in taxpayer money via federal government programs, the more electoral votes it controls and the more representatives in Congress. This explains why Blue States are "so compassionate" about illegals.
Sounds like Trump may put a stop to this thievery as well.
More Middle East Garbage from LSM
The Associated Press (AP) is being roasted from its completely "fake" story about the highly ingenious (my words, not AP's) Pager Attack carried out by Israeli forces against Hezbollah terrorists.
In September, over 3,000 members of the Iran-backed terror group were injured and at least 30 killed when a covert Israeli operation launched two waves of near-simultaneous detonations of that organization's pagers and other electronic devices across Lebanon and Syria.
This week, the AP published a story "How Survivors of Israel's Pager Attack Struggle to Recover". Of course this LSM propagandist never mentions Hezbollah as a terrorist organization with deep ties to Iran. Instead describes them as "a major Shiite political party with a wide network of social institutions."
On the heels of the NYT's fake photographs of children starving in Gaza it's just another example of the left's deceit. Running sob stories for terrorists is a full time job for these clowns.
But, hey, this is not a new thing.
"Imagine in 1944, the Associated Press published a news article about how Nazi SS soldiers ‘struggle to recover’ from wounds they suffered from battles with the Allies in Europe. It's a moral abomination." Antonin Scalia Law School professor Adam Mossoff pointed out.
Quick Update on Cali's High Speed Rail Project
Just in case Newsom decides to run for President in 2028.
The promise that Cali voters approved in 2008 was clear: a 220 mph electric train connecting San Francisco and Los Angeles for $33 billion. A transformative project that would rival the Shinkansen in Japan or the TGV in France.
But since then, the cost has soared to $128 billion (almost 300% overrun) – and the finish line keeps receding into the future
Status today? A partial rail segment between Merced and Bakersfield. It’s like building an airport shuttle between a cornfield and a rest stop. No one asked for it. No one will ride it. It's called the Ghost Train.
As deadlines were missed and budgets exploded, the High-Speed Rail Authority leaned hard on "job creation" as the justification. Of course it does. When a project stops making sense, "jobs" become the political life raft. But as Milton Friedman famously said, if you just want to create jobs, you could hand workers spoons instead of shovels.
Last month, the federal government finally said enough, scrapping $4 billion in funding after years of missed deadlines, ballooning budgets and political theatrics. You’d think that would halt the train. Instead, the Wildfire state celebrated by tweeting about construction jobs and posting photos of rebar.
And, Gavin is still funding as secretly as he can.
In fact the project deserves his name. The Newsom Line: California where Ego "trumps" Competence.
Rumor has it
Trump assigned DEI-hired Secret Service agents to protect Clinton, Obama and Biden. The trio supposedly rejected them demanding merit-based agents. Don't know if this is really true but it sure sounds credible.
Ever Wonder Why...
there aren't any Democrats on Mount Rushmore? Me neither.
Family First
I admit I waste too much time thinking of ways to get through to borderline liberals. Dyed in the wool left-wingers I ignore as I know there is no hope.
One tact involves translating the Trump agenda into what it means to "your family, your kids". For example...
Wouldn't it be better, safer for your children if we has the world's strongest military?
And didn't have to buy energy from our enemies?
How about if our national debt was under control and not jeopardizing our financial future?
Not better if your kids' college education actually resulted in a good job and prosperity for the future as opposed to college loan debt and Anti-American brainwashing?
If America's borders were shut to rapists, murderers, drug dealers, child sex traffickers, gangs, terrorists and other illegals?
If Washington DC didn't squander (then increase) your kids' taxes to enrich politicians and their cronies with do nothing jobs and green energy subsidies?
Or do you think your children, your loved ones would be better off if these things were ignored?
Have a nice warm weekend!
