Hezbollah, Helene & an Upside Down World

Easy to Forget

With the Left hurling insults at Israel 24/7 for their cruel and inhumane actions against Hamas and Hezbollah it's easy to forget that in 2000 Israel voluntarily surrendered control of the "security zone" between itself and Lebanon that was formed to protect Israeli communities in the north from Hezbollah rockets. A UN force was charged with policing the area.

Three years later the UN in its typically feckless manner withdrew leaving the area free to be reoccupied by Hezbollah. Today, Lebanese citizens can get their rent paid by Hezbollah if they are willing to store rockets in their home. You need lots of rockets when they all get shot down.

When Incoherence meets Irrelevance

As in his own words, Biden "sprints" to the finish line, he spent an hour last week extolling his myriad accomplishments to a vapid, disinterested UN audience. Claiming that he, unlike his three predecessors, got us out of Afghanistan. Single handedly enabled Ukraine to fend off Russia, brought the US back from the brink of utter destruction after Covid and other such fantasies. Didn't think he could spew more irrelevance than he did in his now world famous debate performance, but he never ceases to amaze. And, remember Kamala has been up to her eyeballs hiding this clown for three plus years. Now she wants the button?

Think Barack Gives a Damn?

Nantucket (right across the pond from Martha's Vineyard and the multimillion dollar compound you bought for the Obamas) parents fear for children amid spike in migrant crime: 'As a father, it truly scares me'. Each suspect ICE has arrested on Nantucket over the last month has been charged with sex crimes, mainly against minors. Local parents fear for their kids' safety after federal agents nabbed five illegal immigrants, including a member of the notorious gang MS-13, for alleged crimes that include sexual assault of children on this picturesque island.

Hope he isn't relying on Secret Service to protect him or the thugs can't swim.

Just How Bad Are Things?

Pretty bad when former Chicago gangster Tyrone Muhammad is sounding the alarm saying, "Democratic policies on crime are oxymoronic and Americans should be afraid." This as turf wars are breaking out between Venezuelan gangs and local counterparts in the Windy City.

I say - Enough. Leave our gangs alone. We have enough of our own.

More than 13,000 immigrants convicted of homicide are living outside immigration detention in the U.S., ICE says

This was reported by ICE. Then made public by NBC News. Hardly bastions of conservative allegiance.

ICE Deputy Director Patrick Lechleitner sent a letter Wednesday to U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, saying as of July 21, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on the agency’s non-detained docket (NDD), meaning they are not detained while they await immigration proceedings. 435,719 were convicted.

US border officials record "encounters" with migrants - these include people who attempted to cross illegally and people who tried to enter legally but were deemed inadmissible. These encounters have risen to record highs under the Biden administration. Since January 2021, when Joe Biden came to office, there have been more than 10 million encounters - about 8 million came over the southwest land border with Mexico. Under the Trump administration, there were 2.4 million encounters on this border.

No Wonder Trump Got Shot

Question is how much was due to intentional oversight.

Whistleblowers have told Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., that Secret Service personnel are "woefully unprepared" and given inadequate training to properly protect candidates – including former President Trump – in new claims regarding the assassination attempt against the Republican presidential nominee. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents were reassigned to work on the protective details, they were given a single two-hour webinar on Microsoft Teams.

The videos were pre-recorded and were riddled with technical mishaps.

"Imagine 1,000 people logging onto Microsoft Teams at the same time after being informed at the last minute that everyone needed to login individually," one whistleblower told Hawley. "Once it got rolling, the Secret Service instructor couldn’t figure out how to get the audio working on the prerecorded videos [which I’m told are the same videos as last year]. All told, they restarted the videos approximately six times …. The content was not helpful."

The allegations surrounding the HSI agent's lack of training and preparation comes after Hawley's office has continued to communicate with whistleblowers about the Trump rally shooting and what went wrong in order for would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks to gain access to the AGR building rooftop that evening with an AR-15 rifle.

The lead site agent was known to be inexperienced and "incompetent." "The site agent, the lead agent, was known to the Trump campaign to be inexperienced, to be ineffectual, to be, frankly, incompetent at their job," Hawley previously said in an interview. "I'm also told by whistleblowers that on that day, she was not enforcing the normal security protocols. She was not checking people's IDs. She did not use Secret Service agents. Most of the agents there that day were not Secret Service agents. They were Homeland Security agents."

If They Let Joe Biden in the White House

Why the hell shouldn't they let Pete in the Hall. He sure as heck accomplished more than Biden and the money he lost gambling was his own - not ours.

Can't Get on a Plane without...

Proper ID, but you can elect the President.

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed legislation banning local governments from requiring voters to present an ID at the ballot box in order to cast a vote – a move which sparked backlash from Elon Musk, who branded Newsom as "The Joker."

"Wow, it is now illegal to require voter ID in California! They just made PREVENTING voter fraud against the law," Musk wrote on X late Monday. "The Joker is in charge."

The bill was passed by the California Assembly in August after being introduced earlier in the year by state Sen. David Min, a Democrat. Newsom signed the bill into law on Thursday.

So How Much Do Wealthy Really Pay in Taxes?

(Not counting Hunter)

Last week, Harris was beating the drum on the evil wealthy. You know the ones who invest in innovation, create businesses and jobs and pay most of the taxes that enable government to live the high life.

"The wealthy and large corporations must pay their fair share. It's not fair they pay less than nurses, firefighters and teachers." Harris.

A recent CNBC newsletter spells it out. Here's who pays what % in income taxes (not capital gains):

  • Top 1%: 30.6%

  • 95-99%: 16.4%

  • 90 Down: 5.3%

The Top 1% (as previously reported) paid 46% of ALL FEDERAL INCOME TAXES.

Warned Over and Over Again

We have been warned over and over again over the past four years about draconian effects from the unmitigated invasion of illegals. While many border towns and some elsewhere like Aurora , CO, Springfield, OH, NYC, SF, Chicago have felt the impact up close and personal, most of us have only read about it or watched on TV.

Well, here's another area to get a taste Biden/Harris' out of control border management. Impeached Director of Homeland Alejandro Mayorkas announced last week FEMA does not have enough money to help those affected by Helene in FL, GA and NC.

Why? Well in part because the taxpayer funds earmarked for disaster relief were use to care for illegal aliens.

Here's what the White House had to say...

In a statement during a Sept. 16, 2022, press conference when Jean-Pierre was asked about assisting cities in handling the busloads of migrants being sent across the country from Texas.

"FEMA Regional Administrators have been meeting with city officials on site to coordinate — to coordinate available federal support from FEMA and other federal agencies," Jean-Pierre told reporters at the time.

"Funding is also available through FEMA’s Emergency Food and Shelter program to eligible local governments and not-for-profit organizations upon request to support humanitarian relief for migrants," she added.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Wednesday that FEMA, which he oversees, may not have enough funds to get through the hurricane season. Officials say that disaster relief funds needed for Helene come from a different part of FEMA's budget than the reported $1.4 billion in FEMA funds spent addressing the migrant crisis over the last two years.

Get this!

Vice President Kamala Harris (Question - is she President already?) announced a $100 million package to support the state. Critics pointed out, however, that the package was much smaller than the $157 million in foreign humanitarian support Harris had announced for Lebanon the same day.

Within 10 days, Bush had authorized $60B in aid for Katrina back in August 2005.

That's Pretty Hefty Pay Hike - no?

The dockworker's strike that threatened to shut down the US economy big time has been settled thanks to the port operators agreeing to a 69% raise over 6 years. The union wanted 77% so it was a huge win.

Here's an interesting fact. WSJ reports there were 50,000 strikers involved. But...wait...there's only 25,000 port jobs. That's right only half of the dock workers go to work each day and the other half stay home due to "container royalties". Container royalties refer to provisions negotiated in previous contracts to protect headcount against innovation.

Will somebody tell me how society is supposed to benefit from technology when everybody in charge turns a blind eye to boondoggles like this?

Biden says he doesn't believe in the Taft Hartley Act, which permits the President to intercede when things get out of hand. Reagan didn't hesitate a beat to fire the Air Traffic Controllers when they threatened to shut down the skies.

Small wonders most Unions vote blue.
