More and more early voting matters.
This is an area Dems have owned a big edge. It can matter. Early returns can discourage future voters (Oh, well it's over, so why bother?)
It also drive important campaign dollars. If one campaign is in the bag, investments can be shifted to needier candidates.
So, if you're decided, stand up and be counted - EARLY.
In doubt? Hold your nose and vote for Trump.
Good Football Team...loony state.
A top Oregon official was put on leave for allegedly prioritizing 'qualified' job candidates over 'gender identity' An employee faulted her boss for looking 'beyond gender identity' to find the candidate 'most qualified for the job'.
A diversity, equity and inclusion expert had her former boss placed on administrative leave for reportedly prioritizing merit over personal identity when hiring new employees. Megan Donecker, who formerly served as the Oregon Department of Forestry’s DEI strategy officer, complained about the agency's management, criticizing her boss Mike Shaw for looking "beyond gender and identity in hiring, seeking only candidates most qualified for the job," OregonLive reported.
Shaw served as the agency's second-in-command under State Forester Cal Mukumoto until he was placed on administrative leave on Aug. 6 after Donecker filed a formal complaint against him, the Daily Mail reported.
The nerve of this guy. Smoky the Bear must be furious.
Clark Gable or Don Rickles - You Choose.
My first thought after watching the VP debate between JD Vance and Captain Masculinity.
Not Gonna Win Many Catholic Votes that Way.
Catholics were highly insulted when Governor Gretchen Whitmer (MI) decided to honor the chip industry in Michigan by feeding a Dorito to a kneeling feminist influencer. The mockery of the sacrament of Holy Communion was unmistakable. Say...aren't Doritos one of Kamala's faves?
Okay, okay...Fo' Sure He's No Dale Carnegie
But c'mon man.
Two impeachment attempts
Five DOJ-condoned lawsuits
16 states tried to throw him off their ballot
Two assassination attempts.
Entire LSM against him 24/7 for 10 years.
It really is outrageous. Talk about the Eveready Bunny.
But there's still time. I'm bettin' ain't no way the Mullahs let him back in the Oval.
They will not surrender $100B in oil revenues and a blown nuclear program.
What They Bring to the Party
Kamala:
Middle Class Upbringing (WTF?)
Abortion Fealty & DEI Devotion
Change & Opportunity
Younger than 80
Not Trump. (Trump must be stopped at all cost. Will destroy America and is Evil. Even though he didn't in his first term and we were all better off.)
A Proven Track Record of Extreme Flexibility.
Trump:
Border Security
Economic Growth/Low Inflation
Energy Independence
Strength & Fear from Enemies.
A really annoying personality
A Real Track Record.
Remember - eventually we all go back to our Factory Settings!
The Diploma Divide
Back in the day (1972) when I first started in management consulting, I worked for a small firm in Northern NJ. It was owned and run by a bit of a curmudgeon with whom I shared mutual respect and, later, a long friendship. He was about 20 years older and he loved to coin and borrow pithy aphorisms.
One of my favorites was, "Learn the difference between Wisdom and Knowledge".
The meaning is obvious. Knowledge is the assimilation of facts and opinions based on education and experience. Wisdom is the ability to use that knowledge to grasp the essence of things, what's really true and is likely not, what matters and doesn't and how to tell right from wrong. All of which best position a person to make productive decisions.
If one examines the political landscape in this crazy world we inhabit here in the US, one can see the Knowledge v. Wisdom rivalry at work. The college educated Elite, the so called Experts, in the main, are preoccupied with the pursuit of DEI, being Woke and "getting along" with enemies in the hope they'll leave us alone. But, most of all, staying in power at all costs. A majority of these have never started a business, run a business or managed a large organization.
The less well educated, often without college degrees, who work for a living (usually building things people can actually use) and start companies have different priorities. Like earning a better living, making sure their families are safe and their kids properly educated. This class, the ones Hilary labeled the Deplorables, see clearly the benefits of rule of law, secure borders, available low cost energy, safe streets, a growing economy (outside of government) and the strength to protect our country from enemies who hate us and want to kill us.
Take a look at the track record of the Liberal Elite...on immigration, inflation, foreign policy, energy, Covid. It's hard to argue these so-called experts have the answers. Hell, the most effective President we've had since Reagan hadn't been in government an hour before he ran. And Ronnie was an Actor. Yet, both had run big organizations with great success.
When you get a chance, check out the polls and see who is voting for whom. Policy no longer matters. Cultural bias rules.
Great Example of Ignoring Policies and Competence in Favor of Cultural Bias
State troopers, NYPD descended on AOC's 'Red Light' neighborhood to clamp down on rampant prostitution and crime. Sex workers are known to line streets of NYC neighborhood while illegally operating vendors and robberies are rampant.
New York state troopers have been deployed to help clean up a crime-infested seedy strip in Queens, which encompasses "defund the police" advocate Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s district, where prostitution, illegal vendors and robberies are rampant.
Some residents compare it to a Third World country. (At least third time I've heard that.)
And yet these stumps reelect her. Don't think this is recent either.
A Snippet kinda tells it All.
I'll start by saying "hats off" to Kamala. She screwed her courage to the sticking place (Macbeth) and actually sat down with an interviewer not a card-carrying Liberal (Bret Baier). Nothing changed, however, on the dodge ball front.
Here is a typical exchange:
When asked why her economic plan is stronger than Donald Trump's, she replied,
"I'm offering a plan to deal with what we need to do to strengthen small businesses, which are the backbone of America's economy. I am offering a plan that is about taking care of young parents and giving them the support they need.
My plans for the economy will strengthen the economy, as have been reviewed by 16 Nobel laureates, Goldman Sachs, Moody's and recently the Wall Street Journal, which have all studied our plans and have indicated my plans for our economy would strengthen our economy," she continued. "His would make them weaker, would ignite inflation and invite a recession by the middle of next year. Those are the facts."
But wait...
Forgetting for a moment there was not a whiff of specificity in her answer...let's remember inflation was 2% under Trump. The debt has exploded under Bidenomics despite Covid being history. The saddest thing is that, although the rate of inflation has come down, most of the run up in costs are now embedded.
Another Place Trump Might Have Been Right
Remember when Trump was on the bandwagon saying other countries ship their worst to us (USA)? All Libs labeled him an insensitive SOB for implying such awful things about illegal immigrants. Turns out that's what's happening. And not just randomly.
After releasing members of Tren de Aragua from Venezuelan prisons and showing them the door...they show up elsewhere including here.
"This is a gang whose propensity for violence and ruthlessness is well documented. TdA is expanding its criminal operations like a slow growing cancer across our nation and unleashing a preventable wave of crime that will be with us for decades," says Mark Morgan, Head of Customs & Border Protection (under Harris/Biden). Before this gig, Morgan headed up a gang task force.
Meanwhile, a Heritage Foundation study quotes Venezuela's statistics showing that there has been a 25% drop in violent deaths between 2021 and 2022: "It is not implausible to postulate a link to Venezuela’s export of thousands of young criminals, many to the U.S."
Meanwhile, there have been numerous crimes in the last year that have been linked to TdA, in states including Georgia, Illinois, Texas, Colorado and New York — where officials linked the gang to more than 62 robberies in New York City and suspected gang members were arrested for an assault on cops.
A Customs and Border Protection (CBP) bulletin in March alerted agents to tattoos and other identifiers of the gang. The brother of the suspect in the killing of Georgia student Laken Riley has ties to the gang. The gang has established a significant presence in parts of Colorado, where they have reportedly taken over a number of apartment blocks. Fox News Digital reported in July that TdA members have been given a "green light" to fire on or attack law enforcement in Denver.
How naive - no stupid can we be? Plenty is the answer. But maybe someday gang members can vote. Next month in some states. Love to see these butchers try to come to Florida.
If only Trump could make these kind of statements is a calm, neutral fashion - stating only the facts and his source, things would be a whole lot different I feel.
FEMA
Funneling Emergency Money to Aliens.
Guess who oversees FEMA? Same guy who is in charge of the Border under Tsar Harris and got impeached. The beat goes on.
Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State (October 4):
"The US is at the forefront of humanitarian response to the growing crisis in Lebanon. Pleased to announce $157 million in assistance today. We are committed to supporting those in need and delivering essential aid to displaced civilians and communities."
Why would we send millions to Lebanon, New Hampshire? The damage is in FL, GA and NC.
The Administration offered each resident affected in those states a meager $750.
I Boldly Admit
I plagiarize. But, honestly, I do try to ascribe (directly or with quotes) and not take credit dishonestly. So, maybe that isn't pilfering.
But looks like Kamala follows in the footsteps of her non compos mentis boss.
Austrian professor Stefan Weber, cited 27 times that Harris and her co-author allegedly committed some form of plagiarism in her 2009 book, Smart on Crime. Weber wrote, "24 fragments are plagiarism from other authors, [and] 3 fragments are self-plagiarism from a work written with a co-author."
But c'mon man...with her long track record of word salad isn't plagiarizing others the safest bet?
The NYT vigorously discredited Weber's analysis at first. But changed their mind yesterday. "NYT plagiarism consultant admits Harris scandal 'more serious' than he thought."
One Smart Dude
I'll tell ya (although you sure don't need me) that Elon Musk is one smart dude. Even though he's no longer the darling of the Climate Change Kooks since he became a Trumpster and tweaked X so its fair, he is a giant among entrepreneurs. What he's doing with Space X is amazing. He's developed a way to recycle rocket boosters (250 ton Falcon). He brings them back to earth and snags them on the way down. Boosters are 60% of the cost of most launches (I read). So recycling is huge. Once we get space travel out of the government's hands it's all upside.
