Americans Should All Say Thanks...
As Elon Musk completes his work at DOGE. Good thing as it cost the MVP of Entrepreneurship and Innovation billions in shareholder value because he dedicated his intellect and energy to rooting out fraud and waste in the federal government. True, DOGE has only scratched the surface and, even at its most ambitious, cannot fix the deficit problem caused by runaway entitlements. Nonetheless, he has shed light on the sickening way politicians and the Deep State waste taxpayer monies. He had no need to shoulder this burden. Except he knew it was the right thing to do.
The hypocrisy of the Left continues to take one's breath away. Lefties love three things more than all others. Victims, green energy and tech. Musk was a darling when he voted for Hillary and Biden. He was one of their ATFs. Now he's the new Hitler. They burn his cars and dealerships. They sell his stock. The LSM excoriates him every chance they get. In the first 100 days, mentions of Trump on ABC, CBS and NBC were 93% negative. They were 96% negative regarding Elon. The guy who gave us the EV. Who saves us billions with retrievable rockets, provided internet service to areas without it and so on.
He should be every American's ATF.
You Just Gotta Watch This!
If ever a clip hits the bloody nail on the head, this is it - all rolled into . Lib lying and hypocrisy at its absolute finest!!!
Please take the time to cut and paste and watch this doozy from X.
Whoop, whoop - doncha just love it?
Can't Get Out of Their Own Way
Well, would you look at that, the WNBA has made yet another headline that has absolutely nothing to do with the game of basketball. It's just another day where the league, which has never been more popular, cannot get out of its own way.
The latest social justice pandering from the league centers around the Minnesota Lynx and the death of George Floyd. And to be clear, you didn't wake up in the past. It is 2025, and we have a professional sports franchise still bringing attention to Floyd's death in 2020. As if they didn't get enough mileage out of that charade.
The Lynx hosted the Connecticut Sun on Friday, but before the game tipped off, Minnesota forward Napheesa Collier grabbed a microphone at midcourt to address the crowd and say a few words about Floyd two days before the fifth anniversary of his death in Minneapolis.
"George was a father, a brother, and a son, and his life, like every life, held meaning (she left out...convicted felon, drug dealer and user, woman abuser)," Collier said. "His death exposed the holes that are still in our justice and criminal institutions today. His five-year anniversary reminds us that we want to continue the fight against criminal, racial, and social injustices. We cannot stay silent."
Wouldn't you think these players and franchise owners would be thankful for the fact that Caitlin Clark hoisted them on her back and single handedly lifted them out of obscurity. Not since Tiger has anyone made such a difference in a sport. Instead all they do is let Ms. Clark be brutalized on the court while refs turn a blind eye. And worry about poor George Floyd.
What's in a Name?
Ironic isn't? The side that screams and kicks until the names of football teams, baseball teams, military bases and pancake syrup GET CHANGED is all in a fluff about the Gulf of America.
How Did This Happen?
Particularly at so-called Elite Universities, antisemitism has run rampant since the October massacre in which 1400 Jews were murdered by Palestine-based Hamas terrorists. Strange isn't it, when so much $$$ flows to these universities from Ivy-educated lawyers, bankers, hedge fund managers and CEOs who are Jewish. Guess a few hundred million pales in comparison to the billions flowing from the Middle East and China. Including our new "friends", the Qataris.
It's really quite scary how prolific anti-Israel organizations and campaigns have become on US campuses. Sometimes thousands of students belong to anti-Israel organizations (like at Ohio State). Administrations are under tremendous pressure to divest of all Israel owned assets.
Let there be no doubt the left-leaning character of faculties and curricula are not small factors. If there is anything the Left loves it's an alleged victim. Palestinians are the victims of the moment. Anytime the Left can identify a victim, gin up support, provide sympathy and handouts, they know there are votes at the end.
Sympathy for Blacks was fading. Hard to get much energy for that cause any more. The lefties needed a new one, even if they were in bed with terrorists and murderers.
Always remember the Left's bible, DEI, is affirmative action on steroids.
Name Change
CBO renamed "BS"-O.
The Congressional Budget Office (another Deep State Dandy), which provides Congress with cost estimates, including projections for the GOP’s Big Beautiful Bill, has a long history of inaccuracy and bias.
Established in 1975, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) was created to “provide objective, nonpartisan information to support the Congressional budget process and to help the Congress make effective budget and economic policy.” While it plays a key role in shaping legislative debates, including on the GOP’s sweeping reconciliation package designed to advance Trump’s agenda, CBO critics argue that its projections often fall short of the office’s mission.
Each year, the CBO produces roughly 600 to 800 cost estimates, including for major legislation such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the current GOP reconciliation bill. The agency’s most recent estimate projected that the Republican proposal (BBB) would add $2.3 trillion to the deficit over a decade. However, the agency’s track record includes several high-profile estimates that have been significantly off-base, viewed by some as honest miscalculations and by others as purposeful distortions.
For instance, the CBO initially estimated that President Joe Biden’s signature IRA would reduce the deficit by approximately $58.1 billion between 2022 and 2031. However, its 2024 outlook revised that estimate to a $428 billion increase in the cumulative deficit, $224 billion of which they attributed to adjusted projections of the IRA’s electric vehicle tax credits and revenues from gas taxes. How in the Lord's name can you be taken seriously with a miss like that?
“Unfortunately, we’ve seen time and again that the CBO scores Democrats’ spending priorities favorably and Republicans’ tax relief unfavorably,” Republican Rep. Ron Estes of Kansas told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “CBO falsely claimed that Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) would reduce tax receipts for the Treasury. In reality, TCJA exceeded CBO’s predictions for tax receipts by more than $1 trillion while growing the economy for everyday Americans.”
Estes and other critics say the core problem is the lack of transparency into CBO’s data and methods.
The CBO is staffed overwhelmingly by Democrats, the American Accountability Foundation (AAF) recently found.
“The real problem is the pervasive groupthink that comes from allowing our institutions to hire left-wing leaders to recruit analysts almost exclusively from left-wing universities,” AAF President Tom Jones said in a statement to the DCNF. “This practice has created a monster in our government, where institutions like the CBO operate as echo chambers for progressive academics.”
Probably explains why figs get revised 9 times out of 10 to the negative side.
Dark Clouds
I have tried to remain sanguine on the new Administration's decisions and actions to date. Reminding myself Trump is a clever guy and more often right than not.
StilI, I see dark clouds on the horizon and they are troubling. Three in particular.
Tariffs, Deficit, Iran/Russia.
Start with Iran and Russia. Clearly Putin is playing Trump. Droned the daylights of Ukraine last week. Doesn't sound like he's on his way to the table. Even Trump called him "crazy".
Iran has repeatedly said it will not give up nuclear or, more specifically, centrifuges. Sure hope we're not headed for JCPOA 2.0. Don't need a second worst deal ever. Another pause is not acceptable.
Tariffs are confusing everybody. Where are the BIG DEALS? If continued will inflation follow? Then increased rates? Most economists condemn. Need to get India and Japan deals done now.
And then there the biggest rain cloud of all. Our debt and deficit forecast. The Big Beautiful Deal doesn't make a dent. Forecasts say it makes worse. There is a real case for getting back to Pre-Covid levels.
The Cruel Vice
At this juncture Republican politicians find themselves in a cruel vice. Do the right thing or stay in power at all costs. For the umpteenth time, they face the decision to tackle our untenable and, most likely, unsustainable deficit/debt problem in earnest or - kick the can down the road. Based on the House version of the BBB, the latter will win AGAIN.
Everyone (and I mean everyone) knows that Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid must be restructured to make any difference in our deficit spending, the absurd interest we now pay and the debt we hold. No amount of DOGE or other cutting around the edges will do the job.
But, but, of course, mid terms loom. Margins in the House and Senate are razor thin. The American public has made it clear election after election, poll after poll, that anyone who screws with these "third rails" is gonna pay the ultimate price (for a politician - this is being voted out, not death).
The price for losing either House is especially onerous this cycle. The Trump Administration is on a mission to right many long standing wrongs in how the federal government operates. Every day more fraud, theft and dishonesty are surfaced. To say feathers are being ruffled is the understatement of the century. Opposition forces (liberals, all Democrats, the lamestream media, universities, the Deep State, enemies and allies ) are blind with rage and ravenous for retribution.
Assuming Trump makes real changes via the pen, these must be codified into law to withstand the next Joe Biden. That will not happen if Republicans lose either house of Congress in November 2026. Such a cruel vice. Not sure what the solution is except term limits might help.
Only choice really, I guess, is to follow the Dem strategy. Give that can another kick and stay in power whatever it takes.
Maybe, just maybe, if we come out of midterms whole, Trump will reverse course and lead a serious effort to reform entitlements. But, unlikely.
Speaking Truth to Power...
When power ain't got no power is NO BIGGIE. Lefties are now blaming Biden for putting them in this fix. Some claimed it was his coverup. Don't they have eyes? Wasn't much of a coverup. Read where WH spent a million on a staged Townhall meeting (April 2024) and couldn't even get enough footage to show on TV.
Spilling the beans on a worn out old husk after he's been deposed is neither courageous nor patriotic. So Jake Tapper and his book (Original Sin) deserves no kudos. He was constantly in the front row touting Biden's sharp as a tack image. Amazing since we're not talking about Walmart greeter who keeps forgetting which aisle.
Apparently Tapper viewers feel the same. Jake Tapper's CNN show hit the lowest ratings since 2015 despite new Biden book buzz and intense publicity tour. Counterfeit.
Force Multiplier
It is amazing how Liberals manage to infect so many with their dumb and dangerous principles and causes. Surely you wonder, as I often do, how can people be so gullible, lack such basic common sense and subscribe to so many things that are outright BAD for them and their families.
Well, much of their influence (brainwashing) is attributable to the force multiplier effect that comes from having power hungry politicians, elite universities, government funded agencies, the lamestream media including social, TV and print and the ubiquitous Deep State in your pocket. Aggregate all these forces and you have a tidal wave of insidious influence that Conservative can rarely overcome. It has to get "Biden Bad" for Republicans to have a fighting chance.
Case Anyone is Following...
Cooper Flagg, a freshman basketball player at Duke who will go #1 in the upcoming NBA draft earned $28 million this year in NIL money. That's Name, Image & Likeness, which is the new program that allows colleges to bribe athletes to go to their school and ball. Not altogether unjustified since jocks bring in megabucks. See...pays to stay in school!
Democratic Standard...
to become Presidential nominee? Beat Trump and show Proof of Life every now and again.
NPR-Trump Battle
NPR is, of course, National Public Radio. Funded by taxpayer money, committed to objective reporting of the news and completely leftwing biased. Trump decided the country didn't need to continue shoveling hard earned taxpayer monies to this end.
NPR and libs again have their hair on fire. NPR's CEO, Katherine Maher is using a boatload of that taxpayer money to sue Trump on the basis of the First Amendment and his violation of free speech.
Where does the First Amendment say taxpayer money has to be used un-freely to fund a news outlet? Forget about the fact it's a massively biased and undeniably disingenuous one. Help please. I can't find that clause.
For the record, CEO Maher, when confronted with the fact that 87 out of 87 employees on the NPR Editorial Board were registered Democrats said, "That's a concern." Ya think?
One Voice
I hope Israel and the Jewish people never forget that one and only one voice has stood up for them at this inflection point in history. It's not the elite universities, the hedge fund billionaires, the compassionate liberals, the mainstream media, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden or even the Jewish elites.
It's Donald Trump and conservative Americans.
As for the poor victims of Palestine, they made a choice. They empowered a group so heinously evil that they tortured and slaughtered 1200 Israelis in their homeland. Pregnant moms and babies, for God's sake. This war and all its consequences could easily have been avoided. Just stay on your side of the border and lay off the terrorist attacks. Simple, eh?
Has the Centennial State Taken the Lead?
Was always certain Cali was the worst of the WOKE and that OR, WA and IL were in close pursuit. Looks like Rocky Mountain High might have overtaken them all.
Hear about the latest TG laws the gay Governor of Colorado signed into law?
One mandates that parents affirm their child's sexual identity or lose custody. Another forces taxpayer's to fund transgender medical interventions. Another funds TGs so they can move to CO from other states.
Man oh man, John Denver would turn over. TG activists seem to control every branch of state governance.
Jessie Wins
Remember that clown Jessie Smollett? He funded a fake White Supremacist beating in a Chicago subway at 2 AM. Hired two gay blacks (one his lover) to wear masks and Maga caps then accost him. They carried bleach and a noose. He courageously fought them off. My hero.
Trouble is the White Supremacists were stooges, his boys. Got caught, got convicted, but the IL Supreme Court threw out the conviction. There was, however, a civil suit. Turns out that went away too. Mayor Brandon Johnson just gave Jessie a plea deal that involved paying a fine.
In case you forgot, Mayor Johnson defeated Beetlejuice (Lori Lightfoot) in her own primary for reelection. Hard to lose your own primary as an incumbent. CME predicted he would far eclipse Mayor Lori with his ineptitude. Turns out Chicagoans agree he has. Johnson's approval ratings hit 6% recently.
It is from this once great State of Lincoln that the Dems' next Presidential contender may come. The very rotund governor JB Pritzker. Significant - heck no. But illustrative.
7 to 2
Supreme Court overturned Maine's right to strip Republican state senator, Laurel Libby, of her voting rights because she was against guys in girl's sports. Vote was 7 to 2. Wanna guess who the two were? Yup. Ketanji and Sonia. I don't really blame Ketanji Brown (Biden's token) because she couldn't even answer the question - can you define a woman. She couldn't because, "she wasn't a biologist."
In conclusion, I have officially deleted the WSJ podcast, Potomac Watch, from my library. The Journal is now just another liberal rag, who occasionally gives space to a conservative for an opinion or two.
Have a nice weekend.
