I think there are few anywhere on the political spectrum who would disagree that American has problems. Big problems. That we are not at all the country who emerged from our heroic efforts in WW2 to lead the free world. Who defeated the hegemony of the USSR in the Cold War. Who provides more $$$ help to everyone that anybody else. Who defined freedom, liberty and justice for all.

Now, we face insane divisiveness (hell, we can't stand one another), an overrun border infiltrated by terrorists and fentanyl, serious enemies being emboldened by the day and, at best (see job creations stats), a flimsy economy.

JUST ALWAYS REMEMBER - The Dems have been in the White House for 12 of the last 16 years!!!

And now to the good news of the week...

Military experts suggest Iran may declare itself a nuclear power by year's end

Military experts state that it remains a distinct possibility Iran could declare itself a nuclear power this year with the United States' political future uncertain amid a tightly contested presidential election. 

"I think that's a real option," said James Carafano, vice president of foreign and defense policy studies for The Heritage Foundation. "I mean, if I were the Iranians and I were going to do it, I would do it now because Biden will do nothing.

"The Israelis are bogged down, and you've got months before — if Trump wins — he comes to power, and by then you have established nuclear power.

Even Joe acknowledges...

The Biden administration has repeatedly warned throughout the past year that Iran is on the brink of achieving a nuclear weapon. U.S. State Secretary Antony Blinken in July told the Aspen Security Forum Iran "is now probably one or two weeks away" from achieving "breakout capacity of producing fissile material for a nuclear weapon."

But, as usual, he's got it bass ackwards...

Blinken blamed the collapse of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran Nuclear Deal, for Iran’s accelerated development.

What did those idiots think those fanatical mullahs are going to do with the billions made available by unfreezing bank accounts and ignoring oil embargo violations? Hold hands and sing kumbaya?

Here They Go Again

A few iterations ago, we commented on the proclivity of the current Administration to revise glowing reports on inflation and job creation. They issue these self congratulatory proclamations, then, when they think nobody is looking, revise them significantly - DOWNWARD.

Happened again last week...

US economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than previously reported.

U.S. job growth during much of the past year was significantly weaker than previously believed, according to new data published Wednesday. The Bureau of Labor Statistics revised down its total tally of jobs created in the year through March by 818,000.

That's what the LSM should be writing about!

Lost!

ICE reports that up to 32,000 Unaccompanied Minors are no longer monitored and lost in the USA. Presumably some number are in the hands of drug runners or sex traffickers. Nice job Mayorkas. Nice job Border Tsar.

Harris' push for electric vehicles suffers another blow after automaker backtracks: 'Unwanted and unworkable'

The car industry is backing away from rolling out electric vehicles in favor of hybrid options, indicating more defeats to the Biden-Harris administration's efforts to force EV sales on American buyers. Ford announced last week that the car giant is changing its electric vehicle strategy and backing away from its planned all-electric, three-row SUV, instead favoring the creation of hybrid vehicles for its next rollout of three-row SUVs. 

Sorry, but it looks like we'll be relying on those nasty diesel-powered yellow school buses for a while longer.

More Lies. Guess what? House Republicans/Trump Didn't KILL Border Security Hopes.

By now we've all seen many stories, and several television news shows where the left continues to lie about the southern border and how former President Donald Trump worked with Republicans to shut down a Senate border bill (Senate "Border Act of 2024") that would have secured our borders and that he did it in order to make it an election issue. That is not an accurate assessment of what happened. Nothing but a stone-cold lie. Something this administration has been good at when they talk about the border.  

For over three and half years, the White House and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas have claimed the border was secure. Mayorkas even lied under oath when providing congressional testimony about the border. Let's remember that and remind ourselves that it took over three-and-a-half years for this administration to do anything to attempt to secure the border and why, only after 10 million encounters and 2 million more gotaways, did they do a single thing to slow the flow.  

We had historic illegal immigration for three straight years, and they didn’t take any meaningful action to fix it. President Joe Biden falsely claimed he couldn’t fix it by executive order. 

Now, who prevented the strongest legislation ever that would have helped to secure the border? It was the Democrats and the White House. They shut down HR2, the "Secure the Border Act of 2023," a strong border bill passed by the House long before anyone in the Senate even thought about border legislation.

Lack of Message is the Message

Kamala's acceptance speech was Much Ado about Nothing.

Wonder what small business owners think about 39.6% tax rate? Wonder what entrepreneurs think about the probability the FTC is gonna be looking over their shoulder at every turn? Joe said he backed Israel. Even went over there. In the end he backed away like a scalded dog. Strong military? Any record of her backing a new weapons development program? How much capital will flow when she taxes unrealized cap gains?

And, there's freedom. Lots and lots of talk about freedom.
