By Whose Standard?

My father had a saying every time one of his children made a declarative statement about the merits of this or that. He would say, "By whose standard." Aside from a predilection for argument, what he meant was... to what are you comparing? To this day, nearly 25 years after his passing, whenever my siblings and I convene we reiterate that statement. Okay, you say this or that is great (or special or...) - by whose standard?
Well now, as the accolades, endorsements and $$$ start pouring in for Kamala, that same question is important to bear in mind. Kamala has overnight become the new darling, the Black Female the Libs have been panting for.
But - please - let us not forget the real comparison behind her coronation. By whose standard? Not when compared to Conservative principles, Republican ideas or even the devil himself, Donald Trump. She is the savior only when compared to that raging source of Leftwing embarrassment. Namely, Joseph Robinette (no typo) Biden, her mentor (aside from Slick Wille Brown, of course) and her boss.
Let's go over once again her most salient characteristics aside from race and gender.
1. Kamala Harris is the face of the open border and the almost 12 million people who have entered the country illegally under the Biden-Harris administration.
This is the number one issue for millions of voters. She was the point person who was supposed to fix the mess caused by Joe Biden, when he reversed the Trump policies key to limiting the migrant flow across our border. And SHE FLOPPED. She never even took it seriously. In an iconic interview early on, when asked by NBC’s Lester Holt whether she had gone to the border, she claimed she had been and when called out for that lie, she laughed hysterically, said she didn’t understand what the reporter was getting at and declared she hadn’t been to Europe, either. Count on it; we’ll be seeing that clueless exchange in Trump/Vance ads, a lot.
2. Harris flamed out of the Democratic primary race in 2020 before the Iowa caucuses, having garnered exactly zero delegates and before a single vote was cast.
She had enjoyed a brief bump in her polling after launching a bold attack against candidate Joe Biden during the first primary debate, accusing him of having historically opposed busing. But during her campaign she flip-flopped on then-popular ideas like "Medicare for All", and failed to craft a coherent message on other issues -- including busing. She also failed to raise money. Her campaign was poorly managed and the advantage she was expected to have as a woman of color never materialized. A few months before she exited the primaries a Quinnipiac poll showed her winning only 1% of the Black vote
3. Despite numerous efforts by the White House to rebrand Harris, the V.P. never achieved traction.
The reinventions of Harris were in some cases comical – for example, calling the Second Gentleman Douglas instead of Doug, hoping some gravitas would rub off on the giggling V.P. Based on extensive interviews, Politico described her office as an "abusive environment" and reported that Harris "refuses to take responsibility for delicate issues and blames staffers for the negative results that ensue."
I'll just bet Vlad, Xi and the mullahs are quaking in their boots. Or. more likely, sipping Dom Perignon (yes, even the mullahs are enjoying a drink on this one.).
HOT FLASH: Kamala Harris announced she will skip the the address to Congress by the Prime Minister of our most trusted ally, Benjamin Netanyahu. Harris will be attending higher profile event, namely the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Grand Boule in Indianapolis, Indiana. In her first official act as the presumed nominee, she abrogates her responsibility as President of the Senate and boycotts an address by the leader of America's only ally in the Middle East...in favor of a sorority party no less.
Same superb judgment as when she jumped to the defense of Jessie.
Watered Down Standards
Have to ask. What role did DEI play in the Trump assassination attempt? Now-disgraced, ex-Director Cheatle was a huge DEI fan.
Or for that matter, Biden's selection of Harris as VP. I know, I know...to suggest such is tantamount to throwing a pork chop past a hungry wolf. Racists, racists, racists!!! How dare you suggest Kamala was chosen because of her gender or race or both.
Errrr...because that's exactly what Joe Biden promised.
The Epiphany
Anyone wonder exactly what type of revelation Joe experienced between Saturday when he aggressively assured his staff it was "FULL STEAM AHEAD" - and Sunday morning when he realized it was time to turn the reigns over to a new generation? A few days earlier he declared the only way he drops out is for health reasons or the Almighty comes down in person and tells him to pack up. You don't think, do you??? Yeah right.
Hilary called this the greatest act of patriotism she'd ever witnessed. A subject about which she knows precious little.
I say...Rubbish.
Facing Article 25, losing in the polls, no realistic path to victory - all three had a helluva lot more to do with Joe's heroics than patriotism. He wasn't very patriotic when he accepted 14 million primary votes knowing he was totally unfit to do the job. Hoped maybe we wouldn't notice. So did Kamala, Nancy, Chuck, Barack and all the rest of the deceivers.
What do they think...we just fell out of a coconut tree?
So What Can We Expect from Kamala?
I wouldn't stay up late thinking about. Be nice if she exposed her Communistic ties and leftwing principles. Be nice if she reiterated the...anti fracking, anti Police, anti 2nd amendment sentiments she expressed so often when kowtowing to California lefties. But don't hold your breath.
No. That ain't gonna happen. Surprise, surprise. What she will do is emulate her intrepid leader, Joe B. Her platform will be simple. I'm not Trump. I'm not a crook, a fraud, a liar, an abuser and on and on.
If anybody hears even one concrete policy commitment in between the cackles please, please...write it down and pass it on.
A scary glimpse into Ms. Harris can be gained from remarks she delivered on November 1, 2020. It was her view on the difference between equality and equity.
To Kamala, equality means everybody has the same opportunity to use their talents and their effort to create the best life possible. Equity, on the other hand, means that everyone ends up at the same place, regardless of where they started, how much they accomplished and how hard they worked.
Guess which one Ms. Harris endorses?
The Bounce!
Did anyone hear the giant "PHEW" this past Sunday. It was the massive sign of relief among Democrats when they learned that Joe was finally going to slink peacefully into the night without more of a fuss. Millions of pent up funds rolled in. Shumer called the reaction "wild enthusiasm" over Kamala. Hakim Jeffries declared she "earned" the opportunity from the grass roots up. Polls shot from 38% approval to neck and neck.
Rest easy, friends. This exuberant outpouring has absolutely nothing to do with Harris. It is merely expression of the collective relief that Joe will only have a few more months to embarrass them all.
The Risks We Face
Kamala the nominee does pose some risks.
First, Trump must resist lampooning Biden's reason for selecting Kamala. Namely that she is a black woman...and her accomplishments are thanks to that and Slick Willie Brown If he goes down that road, even a little, he will subvert focus on the issues and the major candidate differences. More importantly he will open the door to the same old crap again. Danger to democracy, existential threat, misogynist, racist ...yaddy yaddy yaddy. He needs to talk only about her abject lack of accomplishments as VP, her colossal failure as Border Czar and her "plans" if elected.
Second, Trump must remember Kamala is a prosecutor. She knows how to argue. Most importantly, she is not Joe Biden.
Why are They Confused?
To me, one of the dumbest lines of reasoning is the suggestion that voters should be mortally afraid of what Trump will do if elected. For crying out loud. He was PRESIDENT for FOUR YEARS!
We know exactly what he's going to do. The same thing he did last time. Secure borders, protect American interests abroad, stimulate the economy with tax policy, reduced regulations and confidence, rebuild the military etc.
For heaven's sake, stop asking. If you are still confused, do a little research. Start with the border.
Are you kidding? This is sick.
If you get a minute, look at the riots in the capitol. Boy, November 5 can't come soon enough.
Even Biden's State Department had to admit...
"State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said Thursday that "something is seriously wrong" with the way anti-Israel protests are unfolding in the nation's capital.
"Something is seriously wrong when you see people marching through the streets of Washington carrying Hamas banners, literal, literal Hamas banners, carrying the Hamas flag down the streets of Washington, D.C. When you see people spray painting on fountains in Washington that Hamas is coming, when you see them displaying signs calling for the death of Jews, when you see them burning American flags, it's despicable," Miller said.
"It's hateful. It runs contrary to the values of this country, I think especially when you consider what that flag that we saw being burned yesterday stands for," he continued. "And one of the things that stands for is the right to protest, the right to make your views known, make them known peacefully."
"I would say to anyone that is burning an American flag while spray painting pro-Hamas graffiti in Washington to stop and think for a moment about what would happen if they were protesting Hamas's rule in Gaza," Miller added.
"And it's not a question that you have to look very hard for an answer, because we know, because we've seen in the past when people have protested Hamas' rule in Gaza, we've seen how Hamas has responded. They responded with brutal crackdowns, with arrests, with violent repression. Fortunately, that is not who we are in this country," he concluded."
Yeah - well, apparently some of us are.
