As noted, have been a regular listener to Bill Bennett’s weekly podcast for quite a while. Bill was the Education Secretary under Reagan and the first Drug Czar under Bush (He actually admits to having been a Czar). Bill is a frequent guest on Fox News and authored many well regarded books. His podcast hosts guests who participate in thoughtful conversations about existential threats to the United States.
From time to time when I get the urge, I send an email.
On Wednesday (8/7), he read the following email, parts of which have been shared here…
Dear Bill,
In the summer of 2015, I became intrigued when one Donald J. Trump announced his candidacy for the Republican Presidential nomination. As I became familiar with his intentions, I gravitated toward him over the bevy of insiders. I liked his positions and felt he was a lot more likely to show the courage necessary to get them implemented. Even if ego was the motivation.
As I went public among a coterie of family and friends, I was blasted. Ridiculous, never happen, Celebrity Apprentice, megalomaniac and so on. It was then I coined the phrase Policy Trumps Personality. I even had bumper stickers printed. Alas, they sit collecting dust to this day. Of course, my point was simple. Nobody is asking you to date, play golf or even have dinner with the man. Just give a guy, who’s been pretty damn successful, a chance to do what he says, you want and what you know none of the Beltway insiders will.
So, it’s slogan time again.
As we prepare for onslaught of retractions and repositions that you know is coming from Kamalot, I thought an appropriate catchphrase might be…Remember, “The Past Trumps The Promises.”
Obama promised to unify until he lost the midterms. Then he decided the hell with the opposition. Time to ink them over. Biden promised to reach across the aisle, be a moderate and use the relationships he forged over generations to build alliances. And build alliances he did – with Progressives, Wokesters, Even Iran.
As you gentlemen know better than most, Kamala has already started to walk back every leftist idea she ever championed. And there’s a boatload of them. The lame stream media is only to happy to comply. She will studiously avoid any forums where a serious question might be tossed her way. It’s been 12 days since she was coronated. Not one single, serious interview, one press conference, not even one serious question. Preferring instead to attend rallies where she can dance about, laugh hysterically and entertain her simps, like White Dudes for Kamala.
I only hope and pray that Trump and Vance steer clear of personal attacks and laser in on the policy positions Harris has supported for the last 15 years. Things like single payer, Green New Deal, defund police, no fracking, free everything for illegal immigrants and my ATF paper straws.
It’s about to heat up.
Must Be a Priority
While the Harris Biden fiasco has created many priorities and certainly immigration, energy self-sufficiency, military strength and the economy are critical, I think it would be HUGE MISTAKE to undervalue the damage being caused by the Left Wing/Woke culture currently being imposed.
Many of the problems we have – border security, crime, inflation, abandoning our allies stem from the Woke/DEI imposition. Merit based on performance is being extirpated, enemies are being given passes, ludicrous environmental regulations and mandates are choking the economy, universities are teaching garbage.
The thing about Biden was he just went along with this. The only thing he cared about was staying in power. Ironic, isn’t it? They kicked him out anyway.
But Harris is a whole different breed. Her positions in the past and her selection of Walz (because Shapiro is Jewish) are pretty strong indications she intends to double down.
At least, there was hope that Biden might adopt a posture of moderation and bi partisanship, but the puppet masters would have none of that.
Until we get someone in the White House to bring C-R-A-P to a screeching halt, it can only get worse. Remember two things.

Tim Walz – A Proven Record
Disclaimer: I am all too aware that VP nominees rarely make a hill of beans worth of difference in Presidential outcomes. Accordingly, I do not usurp lightly the valuable time of CME subscribers merely to define Governor Timothy J. Walz, given he is a likely non factor. I do so because he represents another clear sign of Kamala Harris’ mindset and the policy direction she will certainly take if, God forbid, she was to end up at 1600.
Libs are portraying Walz as a mac & cheese, trip to the Hardware store kinda guy. A coach, a military vet (until he quit just before his company was shipped to Iraq) and one who turncoat Mark Cuban claims is the type of regular guy Americans want.
Well, facts say different…
He was a congressman in rural, southern Minnesota for six terms. Remember Minnesota is one of the most liberal, most Democratic states in the union. He was elected Governor in 2018. But the story really begins when Covid hit. All of a sudden, the mac & cheese guy became Attila the Hun. He declared a state of emergency and exercised dictatorial powers for 15 months.
Walz is probably most famous for slow walking the National Guard while George Floyd rioters destroyed great swaths of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Three days of horrific rioting and no response. $500 million in damages with many of the businesses, municipal buildings (including police stations) still gutted remain today. Walz even admitted he kinda agreed with the rioters.
Some of his other hallmarks include:
· Ordering tampon dispensers in boy’s bathrooms in public schools.
· Supporting abortion up to & including moment of birth.
· Declaring MN a trans refuge state so minors can get a sex change operation in case they can't get one at home
· Presiding over a system with the largest COVID fraud case in history. Still not adjudicated ($250 million stolen).
· More importantly, for the first time ever, Minnesota is below the national average in GDP.
· Always a low crime state, now Minnesota is a high crime state by FBI statistics.
· The state’s record in public school performance has nosedived.
And here I thought Gavin Newsom was the only replacement for Ole Joe with a proven track record of destroying a state.
Any way – the point is that Tim Walz is not a meat & potatoes, Home Depot kinda guy. He is a flaming liberal. He is a perfect match for Harris. And as such, is a clear harbinger of things to come.
Remember the Past Trumps the Promises.

Having said all that – Please Donald - forego the personal attacks and focus on the record. Kamala’s - not Walz’.
Can We Blow It Again?
You bet we can. Just like in '20 and '22.
Since the Peanut Farmer in 1980, Republicans have not had such a target rich situation.
And yet the signs are starting to show that Trump, through his insidious lack of discipline and I know better than everybody else behavior, may well let Harris and her LSM sycophants skate by hiding her. 21 days and still not one serious issue raised or even a question about her positions and her complicity in the Biden disaster.
This really burns me. Not what she and the LSM are doing. That's what they have always done. What angers me is that Trump is letting them get way with it. Preferring instead to rely on insults, name calling and insipid attempts at humor.

Shoplifting Entrepreneur
In the good old days, kids cited careers such as doctor, astronaut, firefighter when asked what they wanted to be when they grew up. In the "Golden State", a new career aspiration has emerged. Shoplifting Entrepreneur. This career comprises joining a gang that systematically loots retail stores then sells the merchandize on the black market. This burgeoning opportunity is now an $8 billion industry in California with LA and SF topping the list of US Cities as shoplifting paradises.
The root cause of this continuing disintegration of law and order in CA can be traced to Proposition 47, which passed in 2014 with vigorous backing by then DA Kamala. Her record of supporting of supporting activist prosecutors, pro-crime initiatives and underfunding police is still bearing fruit 10 years later.
Hopefully, Proposition 36, now on the ballot in November and endorsed by the CA District Attorney's Association, the CA Sheriff's Association and even the mayor of that glorious metropolis now turned cesspool, San Francisco, will restore some sanity. But, I, for one, doubt much can be done with Gavin Newsom at the helm.
