Now that Gaetz dove on the hand grenade (not that Trump gave him a choice, I'm sure), there is one appointee who has emerged as "the" stone worst pick. Lori Chavez-DeRemer. First Republican elected to the House from Oregon. Good thing. Lost bid for reelection. Not good thing. But the real problem is her position on right to work and Unions. Chavez sponsored the Democratic-backed PRO Act this Congress, which would make it easier for employees to unionize, among other pro-labor provisions. She also co-sponsored legislation that would lower barriers for public safety workers to collectively bargain. Really not good thing.

No doubt this pick is quid pro quo for the support Trump received from Teamsters President, Sean O Brien. Hopefully she is a Gaetz-type red herring and will be rejected during confirmation. We sure don't need someone supported by Randi Weingarten, Teachers Union President or Patty Murray, obscenely leftist senator from Washington. Birds of a feather often stick together.

The only reasonable Democratic Senator, Joe Manchin, is calling it a day. On Friday, Manchin slammed the advice President Biden received during his time in office, arguing that the guidance created blind spots for the president on inflation, immigration and Afghanistan.

Appearing on CBS’s "The Takeout" podcast, Manchin recounted how he tried to convince Biden to work across the aisle on the American Rescue Plan as he warned about the dangers of inflation if Democrats went through with plans to extend Covid unemployment benefits through October 2021. Alas, he was ignored thanks to the advice of 17 Nobel laureates.

"I warned of that, and I got criticized, as you recall. They told me they had 17 Nobel laureates," Manchin said, later arguing that they were "17 educated idiots" that were telling Biden "what you want to hear because you paid them."

How do you have the immigration system that has judges go through this whole procedure and then most of the people they say ‘No’ to are not made to go home?"

Whew, we not only dodged Matt Gaetz, but we ended up with a surefire winner. Pam Bondi, former AG of Florida. Unlike Kamala, Pam made criminals pay!

Bondi also worked as one of Trump's defense lawyers in 2020 after he was first impeached on allegations that he had abused his power and obstructed Congress. "They have not charged the president with any crime because the president did nothing wrong," Bondi said when articles of impeachment were sent by the House to the Senate. "There was no crime. The transcript of that phone call speaks for itself."

The Liberal motto. Polls showed the majority of Harris supporters felt Trump would be a better President. When Never Trumpers are asked why they hate Trump, first they become paralyzed. And then hiss... He'll destroy Democracy, He's a Felon, He's a woman abuser., He's a Fascist. They ignore the fact that the man was President for four years ALREADY. And, most importantly, everyone was better off, so why would he change?

Blue State governors are already lining up their AG's and teams of lawyers to thwart Trump on every front. Expect multi-state lawsuits that have secretly been in the works for months. Deportations, climate policies, welfare and regulations rollbacks will face challenges at every turn as 2028 wannabes like Newsom and Pritzker begin positioning.

Sad thing is if these Leftwing pols would just show some common sense and listen to the voters they might survive and actually do something worthwhile for the people they represent. But they won't. They only know - obey in

advance. All the while continuing to listen to Obama & Oprah.

White House insists Biden, Harris have 'one of most successful administrations in history' despite 2024 loss

Just weeks after Vice President Kamala Harris’ overwhelming loss to President-elect Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, the White House released a memo that hailed the Biden-Harris administration as one of the most successful in history.

The memo shared on Monday highlighted how President Biden and Harris took office during the COVID-19 pandemic and a "reeling" economy, before going on to call their administration "one of the most successful administrations in history" which "will be leaving behind the best economy in the world."

The latest jobs report released earlier this month, however, appears to show a different story.

The Labor Department report shows that just 12,000 jobs were created in October, far below estimates of up to 120,000 and the lowest in four years. The unemployment rate was 4.1%, in line with expectations.

Oh yeah. 76 million didn't buy "the best administration ever" line. Can you believe these people? One of best administrations in history? It was so good Biden's own party wouldn't let him run for reelection.

The Lamestream Media, particularly the NYT, WAPO and Talk Shows are really such a disgrace. Put the Pollsters in the same pot. After getting it completely wrong in 2016, they had 8 years to figure out what makes Trump supporters tick. And, though it isn't that hard, they failed their audiences again this cycle.

There can only be two reasons. Either they truly are incapable of figuring it out or (much) more likely they care far less about reporting the truth and way more about vilifying Trump Such a disgrace. Guess this is why Fox News trounces them all!

The terrible combination of elitism and extremism that has defined Democratic policymaking in the Golden State for at least the last decade has delivered failure on every front.

Despite having the highest taxes in the nation, despite the state’s budget nearly doubling in the last ten years (even as CA population has been falling, in the exodus from blue state misrule), California has the highest rate of poverty in America. It has the highest housing costs, the lowest homeownership, highest gas and utility bills, and the worst business climate--ten years in a row.

Here are the five things California Democrats still don’t get:

Meanwhile, this weekend, while Montreal burned and was being trashed by Hamas rioters, Trudeau was dancing at a Taylor Swift event in Toronto. He's as tone deaf as Biden-Harris. Probably why Trudeau's approval ratings are the same and hover around 30%.

As discussed, the ICC warrants are a farce. Thankfully we are not a signatory of the ICC and, thus, not obligated to give a hoot what they decide. For the record, as far as the Genocide/Famine allegations, Israel has delivered over 1 billion pounds (1,000,000) of food to Gaza since the terrorist attack. Sending humanitarian aid to those who invaded, raped and murdered your citizens. And Netanyahu's the bad guy?

By the way, Biden lifted Trump sanctions against the ICC in 2021.

What's the Oracle Got Cookin'?

Warren Buffett, at age 94, is inarguably the greatest investor of the modern age. He started as a boy when selling newspapers. In 1965, he bought a textile company called Berkshire Hathaway and used it as a vehicle to build his company, now valued at $1 Trillion with $325 billion in cash. Since 1965, Buffett's investors have averaged 20% a year in return versus the S&P 500 at 10%. If you invested in BH in '65, you would have made 145X as much as investing in the S&P. His method is simple (in concept). Buy good companies with good management and lots of cash flow. Then hold them forever. Buffett has long attributed his success to three things...good genes, being born in America and compound interest.

Well, the Oracle has been dumping stock and going to cash big time in the last few months. He hasn't come out and said why. Buffett trackers are going nuts speculating. What does the Oracle know that most investors don't? Is the market that overpriced? Is he hoarding to do an elephant deal? Is it estate planning? Nope, he plans to leave 99% of his fortune to charity and all in the form of BH stock. Few believe it's the election either, because Presidents and Political parties are too short term for Warren to worry. So, what's the Oracle of Omaha up to?

For the record the last few times he went to cash were in the 1960s because he considered the market too expensive, then right before the Tech bubble burst and right before the 2008 financial crisis meltdown. So give, Oracle!

Another DOJ Screw Up

Spirit Airlines filed for Bankruptcy after the DOJ put the kibosh on their merger with People's Express. Washington's reason? It would harm customers because they would be deprived of Spirit's low cost option. Well, now Spirit customers might really be deprived.

The reasoning, as with almost all government interventions, was specious. It's been a long time since Spirit was the only low cost option. Since Legacy airlines started offering the "basic economy", no frills fare they are price competitive at the lowest price points (plus the seats are wider). In fact, it was the confluence of Covid borrowing to stay afloat, rising labor costs and the "basic economy" competition from the Big Boys that drive SA to the brink. But the DOJ missed that fact.

Anyway, not to worry. Every airline goes through bankruptcy at least once in its career. Only to emerge, thanks to bailouts and mergers, to fly again. So I expect Spirit will too.

A Real Reason to Give Thanks

With Biden/Harris in the rearview mirror, it is indeed a joyful Thanksgiving. In two months we can get down to the business of putting this nation back where it belongs. For sure there is much to be done. Immigration, Energy, Government Spending, Education and Military Reform and more. Guided by the vision of the founding fathers, led by a proven CEO with a clear vision and undaunted courage, we can once again become the shining city on the hill and mankind's last greatest hope. Said another way, we can go from being a turkey to enjoying one.
