Autocorrect ought to be...
Auto - fck up. Honestly. Makes proofreading a full time job.
One day soon...
I'll stop with the snipes at BHA. Just not today.
Guess who?
When addressing the desperate citizens of California, this recently retired politician offered this pearl of wisdom. She urged patience with officials, firefighters and neighbors. "It's critically important that, to the extent you can find anything that gives you an ability to be patient in this extremely dangerous and unprecedented crisis that you do." Go figure.
Reform Rubbish!
Not sure how you feel but I couldn't give a flying fig whether jail reforms violent offenders. A Seattle judge recently released a gang member who went on to disembowel a teenager. Disembowel.
Her logic? She doesn't believe prison reforms. Who cares? Get these animals off the streets and keep 'em the hell off. How does the reformation of murderers and rapists outrank the safety of innocent civilians? Just another example of how liberals have everything upside down. Hope he voted for Harris before he ripped the kid's guts out.
Never Learn
I have a feeling this may be a recurring theme for the foreseeable future. Time and again left wing liberals demonstrate that the innumerable failures of the last four years and the November 5 results did not - in any way, shape or form - stimulate a rethink of their entrenched beliefs and positions.
To wit:
NBC taps left-wing journalist Yamiche Alcindor to cover Trump in return to White House press corps.
Alcindor was accused of glaring liberal bias as a PBS White House correspondent and New York Times reporter during President-elect Donald Trump's first term, where she regularly sparred with the president in contentious public exchanges.
So typical of left wing journalists, Alcindor (Is she why Lew changed his name?) proclaimed, "...it her duty to use journalism to bend the "moral arc toward justice." Who in the hell does she think she is. Jesus? This is the root cause of journalism malfeasance. The job of journalists is to report - factually, objectively - the news. Tell us what happened, not what they think it means. No - liberals believe it their divine mission to twist the facts to fit the leftwing narrative. Can't wait for the moral arc of justice to run up against the Donald.
Hegseth update
"They didn't lay a glove on Hegseth today," CNN political commentator Scott Jennings posted on X. "Why do Dems send their dumbest members to this important committee?"
All Hell Will Break Loose
Shocker!!! Hamas has now agreed to a ceasefire and hostage exchange. Of course, as always, it horribly one-sided. Israeli (and Americans) got 33 hostages back of which many are dead. The terrorists get, oh, a 1000. WTF.
I guess it's a start. Doesn't sound like the Art of the Deal to me.
Tik Tok Tik Tok
The site was scheduled to go dark Friday unless a divestiture could be reached. Not sure why Trump is interested in keeping it open. If you have any doubt whether this is an instrument of the CCCP, just ask yourself why Chinese officials have stated uncategorically that the TT algorithm is a state secret. Duh.
Damn Pam is Good
What a rock star (I know overused). She neutered Adam Schiff in confirmation hearings, who is an example of what's wrong with California. Schiff was the liar who led the "Impeach Trump" campaigns on knowingly false grounds. Was even censured by Congress (which Pam pointed out). Then in the true spirit of the Wildfire State got promoted to US Senator.
This lady has the stones and principles to be the first Female Prez.
Lipstick on a Pig
Gotta give him this. The man is a paradigm of consistency. In what is touted as his farewell address, Biden reiterated the same tired litany of falsehoods. God help us. He not only thinks Americans are stupid, he thinks we're senile (a condition with which he has intimate familiarity).
He started by taking unilateral credit for the impending Hamas ceasefire. Never acknowledging that, after an 18 month stalemate, all it took was for Donald Trump to look Hamas in the eye and openly threaten that, " All hell will break loose" if the hostages were not released before inauguration.
Biden went on to take credit for ending our involvement in Afghanistan (13 soldiers and 100+ civilians dead, billions in lost equipment). He touted: ending Covid. Massive "infrastructure" spending that has little to show except billions wasted on green energy boondoggles. He still claims crime is at a 50 year low, a falsehood debunked by any number of metrics. Inflation that his policies created has come back down but nowhere near Pre-Biden levels. Job growth, despite the fact that it is mostly jobs lost during Covid and heavily skewed to government and healthcare industries only. Even claimed illegal border crossings went down on his watch, thanks to the actions of the Secret Service agents he put on the border. Duh. Secret Service doesn't police border. Everybody knows that. Says his leadership on Ukraine stalemated Putin. I guess he forgets that his first strategy was to offer Zelensky a plane ride out.
He finished mouthing his 17 minute address by bashing the successful. I quote...there is a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultrawealthy people, and (there will be) dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked. Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that literally threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedoms and a fair shot for everyone to get ahead. We see the consequences all across America. And we’ve seen it before.
Of course, he repeated his tired line that the wealthy "must pay their fair share." (Not Hunter though). Ignoring the fact that the vast majority of the wealthy today are not legacy, but rather men and women who took great risk, showed great initiative and created great value.
Legal experts slammed President Biden's announcement declaring the 28th Amendment law as "cynical and irrelevant."
Biden on Friday released a statement saying the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) should be considered ratified and a new addition to the U.S. Constitution. "President Biden seems intent on moving his administration from the odious to the absurd," Jonathan Turley, Fox News contributor and the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, told Fox News Digital. "This was an embarrassingly pandering moment to the most extreme elements in his party. It is a position based on a long-rejected and frankly ridiculous foundation."
Can't be many more from this buffoon, can there? Jail or the dementia unit.
System Collapse in the Wildfire State
There are so many things to point to when assessing the causes of the deadly, catastrophic situation in California. In one way or another they all derive from leadership, which has been leftwing liberal for at least the last 15 years.
Victor Davis Hanson, a Cali resident, military historian, Stanford professor (no more), professor emeritus at Cal State, senior fellow at the Hoover Institute and conservative commentator was asked the question, "how did this happen?" by Bill Bennett recently. Here's his analysis:
He started by saying it was a confederacy of dunces running the government on autopilot. He ticked off the following:
Newsom had a $7 billion bill to build three reservoirs he didn't build one because the funds were diverted.
He blew up four dams on the Klamath River costing 80,000 homes power, flood control and irrigation because Native Americans complained about fishing rights.
He let 90% of the water from the Klamath, Feather and American Rivers flow out to the Delta to protect the smelt. This water, if pumped into the aqueduct, would fill everything in LA.
The mayor cut firefighting budget by 17 million. She tried to cut by 50 million. By the way, when she was in Ghana during the fires (that were predicted), the vice mayor was under house arrest for phoning in a bomb threat.
Ms. Quinones, the water and power czar the mayor hired for double her previous salary to replace the previous commissioner, who is in federal prison for bribes, closed down a 120 million gallon reservoir reserved for fire fighting emergencies because it had a torn cover. She did, however, hire 70% of her workforce on the basis of DEI.
There are a boatload of other failures that should be included. Including killing a plan to replace wooden utility poles with metal ones, discontinuing controlled burns and brush clearing because indigenous plants were being trampled, etc. Wonder how those plants are doing now.
I ask what's more important? Trump proofing or fireproofing? When the Assembly Speaker asked the Gov if he thought it wise to antagonize Trump as California will soon need massive Federal help, Newsom predictably stuttered.
When Hanson was asked how voters allowed this malfeasance to occur by electing such incompetent leaders, he replied...from 1990-2024 10 million have left California. Most of them conservatives and Reagan republicans.. At the same time 10 million illegals came in. 10 of the 30 million in the country are in the Wildfire State.
Death count is 24 and climbing. $300 billion in damages. Bet the Olympics are doing a rethink.
By the way, in May of last year, LAFD Chief Kristin Crowley warned, "We are at that breaking point where firefighters can no longer do more with less." Her admonitions fell on deaf ears. More important to protect bait and buy green street sweepers. Crowley went on the record pleading for funding to hire more firefighters. Data shows the LAFD is woefully understaffed compared to other major cities, with less than one firefighter per 1,000 residents. The recommended level is 2.5 firefighters per 1,000 residents.
Not to pile on, but recently CA passed legislation to pay reparations to Blacks for their suffering during slavery. Forget the fact that California never had slavery and Blacks now make up only 2-3% of population versus 13% nationwide. Everything is wrong, dead wrong.
Why California's Broke
Four reasons.
Billions wasted on green energy boondoggles.
Billions paid out in EXCESSIVE salaries, benefits and pensions to public service workers for their votes.
Billions in welfare to homeless, druggies and illegal immigrants.
Leftwing, incompetent leadership
Trifecta - CA leads in all three categories - illegals, homeless, druggies.. Maybe that's why their crime rate is 87% higher than the national average. Oops, I forgot Soros prosecutors, who put felons back on the streets.
The Deportation Plan
As Blue State Governors set aside funds to thwart Trump at every turn, a focal point will be to interfere with the deportation of illegals. Well, for the record, here's the strategy:
First to go will be the over 500,000 documented felons.
Next, the 1.5 million who have already been deported but didn't show up to leave.
Then the 1 million who are illegal, do not work and collect welfare etc.
That's 3 million. Then we can get to grannies and infants.
Time to Feed the Beast?
Anybody want to bet Trump doesn't lose any sleep if Tulsi and Bobby Two get canceled? Let's face it. These were quid pro quo appointments. I'd be willing to bet Republicans plan to do Donald a favor by backing away from these two. Especially Gabbard who has been at odds with Trump on multiple serious national security issues. Hell, she stood up for Iran at one point.
FBI Closes DEI Office
Hah.
"I believe God made it so that Dr. King's birthday and Trump's second inauguration would align."
Not everyone believes Donald Trump is evil. A fascist, a racist.
In a letter Dr. Alveda King, niece of the greatest Civil Rights crusader of all time, wrote to Fox News...
"By the grace of God and the strength of President Trump’s Supreme Court picks, Roe v. Wade was finally overturned in June 2022. This was a moment that I, and millions like me, prayed, marched and hoped for. However, it was also a moment that many of us were unsure would ever happen in our lifetimes.
President Trump’s promise to return to the "America First" policies that uplift, dignify and respect humanity will help us cherish the blessings of America and spread those blessings to the forgotten men and women of our nation.
President Trump’s first term helped deliver on these promises, bringing jobs, economic growth, school choice and a culture of life to our forgotten communities. Now, with President Trump’s leadership, we can return to that formula. This January, we return to our path of peace and prosperity for all."
Amen, amen, amen I say.
3-3-3
Scott Bessent is the new Secretary of Treasury. He has publicly espoused a plan for the reinvigoration of the US economy, which he calls the 3-3-3 plan. Bessent discussed the 3-3-3 plan this summer at an event hosted by the Manhattan Institute. He said it would involve cutting the budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product (GDP) by 2028, the last year of Trump's second term; boosting GDP growth to 3% through deregulation and other pro-growth policies; and increasing U.S. energy production to the equivalent of an additional 3 million barrels of oil per day.
3% real economic growth – how do you get that? Through deregulation, more U.S. energy production, slaying inflation and forward guidance on confidence for people to make investments so that the private sector can take over from this bloated government spending.
Bessent said Trump should tout a deficit reduction goal as part of the plan: "I would urge him to make public his desire to get the deficit down to 3% by the end of his term. He didn't get us to these 6% or 7% deficits. I think they averaged 4% under him, so get that down to 3%."
Boosting energy production will help bring down future expectations about inflation, given that energy and gasoline prices are a key element of household budgets reflected in inflation measurements.
"Three million more oil barrels equivalent a day from U.S. energy production. That would be my 3-3-3. That would substantially decrease the oil price, which – that's one of the No. 1 drivers of inflation expectations," Bessent said. "And then, back to the Fed, they could go into a proper easing cycle."
Like all plans to change the trajectory of this battleship we call the American economy, plans must be allowed to work. Real, serious plans are not for the fainthearted. They involve courage, sacrifice and pain. The concept of a growing economy providing benefit to all is not new. It was called trickle down/supply side during the Reagan years. Growth means a wider, deeper basket of benefits and opportunity for all who exert the effort to participate and contribute. It creates the revenue streams needed to cut deficits and debt, while still investing in the needs of the nation.
Before this windfall can occur, however, cuts must be made. Investments must be made - significant ones. Deficits and debt must first increase while critical needs previously starved are made whole. Inflation may tick up as we seek equilibrium with trade partners. Whether this can all happen in four years or even eight is a matter of question.
For sure the payoff will not occur if the actions taken, the investments, the sacrifices are undone by administrations that follow. We all saw what happened when Biden unraveled the immigration and energy policies of the first Trump term. This is why it is so critical that the actions which commence now become enshrined, not as strokes of one President's pen but laws of the land. The Congress and Courts must do their job! They must put aside their petty jockeying for personal power and help get this ship righted - for generations to come.
I have little doubt Trump will do his part. But he cannot do it alone. No time to sit on the sidelines.
A Crook to the End.
Can you believe that President Biden pardoned his siblings 15 minutes before leaving office just now? He waited until Trump was already in the Rotunda.
Of course you can.
The pardon applies to James Biden, Sara Jones Biden, Valerie Biden Owens, John Owens, and Francis Biden, the White House announced. The president argues that his family could be subject to "politically motivated investigations" after he leaves office.
"I believe in the rule of law, and I am optimistic that the strength of our legal institutions will ultimately prevail over politics. But baseless and politically motivated investigations wreak havoc on the lives, safety, and financial security of targeted individuals and their families," Biden said in a statement.
I believe if it walks like a duck.
If the Chinese Commies are not using Tik Tok to spy on and brainwash Americans why do they care so much about the "algorithm". Similarly, if his is not the Biden Crime Family, why blanket pardons?
