SCOTUS Nails It
Gives Conservatives and Trump big victories. Let's flesh this out because many legal experts claim it has genuine significance.
First,
Nationwide (aka Universal) Injunctions.
These are situations where a lower level court judge issues an injunction and holds that it applies - not only to the plaintiff and defendant in the case itself or even the judge's district - but to the entire country itself. Hence the term nationwide. Now, anyone with common sense and a third grade education knows this is ridiculous.
Let's look first at precedent. From 1900-2000,there fewer universal injunctions issued than the 40 levied against Trump's executive orders in the FIRST FIVE MONTHS of Trump 2.0. Similarly the 40 against Trump is also more than the all the universal injunctions levied against George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Joe Biden in their entire presidencies - combined. Welcome to Lawfare 2.0.
While SCOTUS didn't rule on birthright citizenry directly, it took dead aim at nationwide injunctions, which leftwing judges have been using across the county to thwart the Trump agenda.
Finally Coney Barrett stood her ground and wrote a compelling decision. ABUSE of POWER!!! She even ripped Ketanji Brown Jackson saying...“We observe only this: Justice Jackson decries an imperial Executive while embracing an imperial Judiciary.”
Second,
In a case from Texas, the Court ruled, again 6-3, that the Texas law requiring porn sites to require age verification is upheld. While this helps protect kids under 18, it in no way removes the burden of responsibility from Parents and their duty to raise their child right. If you can believe it, the lawsuit alleged porn sites have a constitutional right to push this crap out to five year olds. Clarence Thomas wrote the majority opinion.
Third,
In a lawsuit that came out of that liberal cesspool, the great state of Maryland (been in the news a lot lately), the Court, again 6-3, ruled that Parents have the right to opt their kids out of classes that teach LGBTQ or any such radical rubbish. Here, too, public schools were exposing 5,6 and 7 year olds to this manure.
Yet another example of why voting matters. Three of the Judges now on the Supreme Court were appointed by Donald Trump. Imagine what might have been, if more Katanji Brown Jacksons or Sotomayers were chosen.
Guards Need Not Apply
Because the security system bites back.
DeSantis proposes Alligator Alcatraz as new migrant detention facility.
Located on the edge of the Everglades, if you escape no one is coming to look for you. Except...American Alligators, Eastern Diamondback Rattlers, Cottonmouths, Black Widow Spiders, Florida Panthers (not the hockey ones), Fire Ants, Brown Recluse Spiders, Bull Sharks, Killer Wasps and Water Moccasins.
Randi Weingarten's DNC exit - more evidence of the obnoxious teachers' union-Democrat alliance
Weingarten, teachers union president, was booted from the DNC, which confirms a decades-long political symbiosis that prioritizes partisan agendas over real education. (As reported in CME on multiple occasions.)
American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten’s exit from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) after 23 years illuminated the irrefutable fact that teacher unions are an appendage of the Democratic Party. Her departure, paired with National Education Association (NEA) President Becky Pringle’s ongoing role as an at-large DNC member, reveals a relationship that subjugates education advocacy to blind allegiance to leftwing Democratic ideologies.
But the union-party nexus persists. Becky Pringle remains a DNC fixture, linking the NEA to Democratic Party machinery. The money tells the story: Weingarten’s American Federation of Teachers (AFT) funnels about 99% of its campaign contributions to Democrats every cycle. Union dues, often extracted from taxpayer-funded teacher salaries, flow into Democratic coffers—a financial pipeline that’s borderline money laundering. It's a clear form of quid pro quo: unions bankroll the party, and the party protects union power. Children and teachers are just pawns.
The unions’ loyalty runs deeper than cash. Their priorities—abortion rights, climate activism, identity politics—mirror Democratic talking points, sidelining teacher pay or classroom needs. They mobilize Democratic voters through get-out-the-vote campaigns and endorse Democrats in non-education races, from governors to congressmen. Union offices double as training grounds for Democratic activists, using dues-funded resources to coach partisan operatives, turning labor hubs into party outposts.
This partisanship screams for school choice and homeschooling. Parents shouldn’t be forced to send kids to schools run by left-wing activists like Weingarten and Pringle, who prioritize politics over learning. Schools should be for education, not indoctrination. School choice lets families pick schools—or homeschooling—that focus on academics, not activism. Giving families the freedom to choose alternatives should also incentivize public school teachers unions to get their act together and tone it down politically.
Even Franklin D. Roosevelt, a champion of labor, warned against public sector unions, noting their potential to distort democracy. Teachers' unions prove him right: they essentially use taxpayer dollars to lobby against taxpayers’ interests, pushing policies that prioritize political agendas over children’s needs. Unlike private sector unions, they face no market-based accountability, so they squander dues on partisan causes without consequence. Their political clout ensures they sit across the bargaining table from allies they helped elect, rigging negotiations in their favor. This relationship isn’t representation—it’s a racket, undermining the public they claim to serve.
One fix is clear: ban public sector union leaders from holding leadership roles in political parties their unions fund. It’s a legal barrier to curb corruption.
Another fix is already in place: the 2018 Janus v. AFSCME Supreme Court decision, which ruled teachers can’t be forced to pay union dues—a blow to unions reliant on mandatory dues to fuel their political machine. Forcing teachers to fund partisan causes violates their First Amendment rights. All teachers, especially conservatives, should opt out of these far-left unions now, using alternatives like the Association of American Educators (AAE) for liability insurance.
Weingarten’s exit exposes cracks, but Pringle’s presence proves the machine still hums. Teachers' unions aren’t just aligned with Democrats—they’re an extension. The Janus decision and school choice give teachers and parents the tools to break free.
Let's Not Forget Good Ole Fashioned "Er-uhl"
As Texans like to call Oil.
If Biden had not shut done Alaskan oil leases and looked the other way on Iranian oil sanctions (gifted $200B) it is fair to suggest much of the suffering, death and damage of the past five years may well have been avoided. Without Europe needing oil and gas from Russia the war in Ukraine may well never have occurred or, at the very least, carried on this long. And, for sure, Iran would never have been in a position to fund their proxies including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.
Time and time again, we warned that Biden's feckless, ignorant, anti-American behavior abroad would encourage and embolden. And it most certainly did. Biden truly is the WOAT.
Once again, thankfully, Trump is putting this right. On all counts.
Remember the name - Neera Tanden
Ms. Tanden was Director of Biden's Domestic Policy Council. She was also, as she testified before Congress this week, the person who authorized use of the autopen on countless occasions. She admits rarely having access to Biden and was unaware whether the President actually authorized use of his signature. Ms Tanden says she was "in the dark" as to who truly okayed use of the pen on memos, WH communications, pardons and other directives that went out under Biden's signature. Says she circulated emails to get a sense of approval.
Helluva a way to run a country but absolutely no surprise, eh?
Boom!
Big victory for All Women's Sports.
UPenn caves to Trump Dept of Ed. Apologizes to female athletes denied titles by male competitors. Strips titles awarded to Tranny swimmer Lia Thomas. Bans future Tranny participation. Hats off to Riley Gaines, President Trump and all who spoke out on this travesty. Thumbs down to Gavin Newsom, Simone Biles and other liberal pukes who toe the party line regardless of how unethical or morally bankrupt. Hopefully, other Uni's are listening.
So What's in the BBB?
First and foremost, it avoids a $4 trillion tax hike that would have occurred if the Trump Tax Cuts were not made permanent. This would have poured an ocean of cold water on the economy and the entire Trump agenda.
Authorizes $150 billion in much needed border security to include finishing the wall, providing massive technology to enforce and more agents.
Authorizes $150 billion in upgrades to modernize our Military, which was starved under Biden to pay for hand outs and green boondoggles. CME has reported on the many shortcomings of our Military suffers vis a vis China.
Makes permanent hugely important changes in tax laws regarding business investments. These are essential to give businesses the certainty they need to invest long term.
Includes strongest yet legislation on school choice.
And the $1000 Baby Bonuses, whereby each baby born legitimately in the US gets $1000 at birth to be put in a stock market fund to which parents can contribute. This is a super incentive to start compounding early and get kids "invested" early in fruits of capitalism.
Yes, the BBB does contain excessive spending left in to appease those whose votes are necessary for passage. But that's politics.
Nailed that One!
Diddy gonna walk. Maybe he'll get a slap on the wrist. But - simply ain't no NYC jury gonna convict, unless it's Trump or a MAGA. Of all the serious charges filed, they found him guilty of transporting for prostitution. Whoopty do.
Looking for a Job?
The position, leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Security Guard Corps (IRSG), is open. The head of the ISRG was killed by the Israelis at outset of current hostilities. The Iranians immediately replaced that individual. The Israeli took the replacement out within a day. A third occupant was appointed and surgically excised the next day.
At this point the job remains open. Job security appears a clear obstacle.
How Bout Dat Trump?
Not even six months and Trump 2.0 has -
Destroyed Iran's Nuclear Capability
Destroyed DEI
Destroyed Open Borders
Restored Order in Women's Sports
Reset the Trading Order Worldwide (at least well on the way to)
Got NATO to double its Spending on Defense
Imposed Penalties on Anti Semitic Behavior at Universities
Curtailed and Begun to Trim Growth of the Deep State (DOGE)
And, maybe most importantly, got the BBB passed, which avoids an epic tax increase and codifies into law the rates established in Trump 1.0. This means Dems will have to run on TAX INCREASES to change in the future.
Indeed, Happy 4th.
