We've Made Them More Hard Line

How is that exactly?

This idiocy comes from the mouths of leftwing critics of the Iran war. Simple question...how much more hard line can they become? They murdered 45,000 of their own people.

For All Our Sake...Finish the Job

The "leaders" left standing in Iran (the ones with the guns at least) are fanatical killers who cannot be trusted.

The blockade should stay in place until full commercial traffic to every country not named Iran resumes through the Gulf. The repudiation of enrichment has to be complete and the remains of the highly enriched uranium, now buried under rubble at various sites after U.S. precision strikes, has to be dug up and turned over to us. The Iranian missile and drone programs must have caps on the number of missiles and their range, and those programs must be subject to a strict verification regime. Finally, the regime must turn on the internet for its people and turn off the money spigot for Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Anything less should be unacceptable. Please, Mr. President, believe it - anything you do (even curing cancer) is going to be reviled by the left. The only hope is history proves you right. And nobody but nobody screws with US going forward.

Remember Munich when Britain's PM, Neville Chamberlain signed the Agreement giving Hitler the right to start annexation of Czechoslovakia. The world convulsed for a decade.

These Guys Are Doozies.

First they couldn't open the Strait of Hormuz because they couldn't locate the mines they planted.

Now they're saying they can't turn over the enriched uranium because it's buried so deep they can't reach it.

On Record

I strongly prefer Rubio over Vance in 2028 (if I can't have DeSantis). You can take that to the bank until, of course, I

change my mind.

Off to China We Go

Trump goes to meet his "buddy" Xi. Main topics? Iran, AI, Taiwan, Economic matters.

Hard to tell what will result. Probably...Trump will come out saying tremendous progress was made. "Close to a Deal." Then make a few bold proclamations as to "best ever" accomplishments. Xi will smile that disingenuous smirk and then go back to business as usual. Will much change?

It's important, amidst all the fear mongering, to keep in mind we STILL hold the cards.

Consider some China facts:

  1. China's GDP per capita is $15,000 per year. Roughly equal to that other world power - Borat's Kazakhstan. Ours is over $95,000 or six times.

  2. China has an internal economic mess. Unoccupied buildings and a property crisis that has lasted decades.

  3. High unemployment and slave wages for the masses.

  4. Add in a population crisis since the One child policy prevented over 400 million births. China is getting old.

  5. The Belt and Road initiative, which was China's ploy to occupy the world, has petered out. Too many countries got wise and saw it for the bad deal it is. Take Africa - China investment has dropped from $30 billion to $5B.

  6. China has a debt problem. Worse than ours. 159% of GDP.

  7. China is still way behind US in technology, innovation and AI. Top 5 AI companies are here - not there.

  8. One big reason is no competition. Rely on knock offs. Stolen technologies and IP.

  9. Trump is doing a masterful job of constricting China's sphere of influence and, most importantly, access to oil.

VA 10-1 Squashed

Virginia's redistricting that turned an almost 50-50 state into a 10/1 Dems over Republicans was such a travesty even the state's Supreme Court couldn't rubber stamp. They invalidated calling it an unconstitutional "power grab". Another black eye for Abby.

Right Back at You

VA Dems have now sponsored a drive to fire its entire Supreme Court by lowering the retirement age to 54. For real. House Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, is in this up to his neck.

Don't Look Now But...

Guess who's popping up more and more on LSM and leftie podcasts? That's right, Barack Hussein Obama.

Barring a change in law, he's not getting another crack at the Oval again, but still. Appears he's so disgusted by the Democrat's bench that he looking to grab some kind of influence peddling opportunity. And here I thought he was content backstage.

If (when) he does emerge in all his deceitful glory, I sure hope people remember that:

  • Obamacare was a flop. Hoodwinked Americans then propped it up with subsidies ever since. Enrollment continues to decline.

  • His ill-advised, pinky swear deal (JCPOA) with Iran has us where we are.

  • He sued Catholic nuns to promote abortion.

  • He forced public schools to allow boys to use girls' bathrooms.

  • He used the IRS to target opponents.

  • He lied about his position on same sex marriage.

  • He forced DEI and Woke politics into every nook and cranny of society

  • He told US Bank CEOs he was the only thing standing between them and pitchforks and torches.

  • He cleared the path for Russia to have its way in Syria then Ukraine. Forgot his "red line".

  • Called Al Qaeda the JV.

  • He looked the other way while China used the Belt & Road initiative to expand its reach around the globe.

  • He was the power behind Russia-gate and the other nefarious Get Trump initiatives the DOJ perpetrated.

  • He alone gave rise to the Anti-America progressives who now control the party - the Newsoms, AOCs, Mamdanis.

  • And perhaps, most importantly of all, he drove a wedge between Americans from which we've never recovered.

On the "positive contributions" front...

  • Oops, can't think of any.

Consider this -

  • When Obama was elected, polls showed 80% of Whites and 60% of Blacks characterized race relations as "good".

  • Seven years later, near the end of his time in office, that had dropped precipitously to 45%.

Everything against his wishes was reduced to "racism". Every time a black person was arrested or shot and white police were involved it became an international incident. Black Lives Matter took hold and we started down a tunnel toward national divisiveness from which we have yet to escape.

Is he waiting, lurking, preparing?

Trump's New Bud?

Just may be China. At least as far as putting Iran in its place and ending this war on terms acceptable to the Administration. China is Iran's great benefactor. China does not give a hoot whether Iran has nukes or murders its own people by the thousands. All the Chi-coms care about is an uninterrupted flow of cheap oil.

So it's a pretty good guess they've told the new leaders - stop the BS, sign something and get the damned oil flowing.

Or else.

Oh, by the way, if China helps Trump neutralize Iran, they'll want the greenlight on Taiwan. You watch.

Not Fun Fact

Remember the "Palisades Fire" of January 2025, which spawned the moniker...Wildfire State? Well, it was started by arsonist John Rinderknecht. John is a pronounced disciple of Luigi Mangione. Publicly praising Luigi for assassinating the CEO of United Healthcare on the streets of Manhattan two Christmases ago.

Still think giving air time to these nutjobs doesn't fertilize other whackos?

The World is Filled with Lunatics.

North Korea recently updated its constitution to require an automatic nuclear strike if Kim Jong Un is assassinated.

Bye Bye Keir

Looks like UK PM Starmer is about to get broomed. His party just suffered 1,400 losses in last week's elections. What a disaster. Turned a nice, decent country and reliable ally into a cesspool of Wokeism and illegal immigrants.

Starmer recently said he's "fed up with Trump." Appears Brits are fed up with him.

They've had enough of intersectionality, non-binary and microagressions crap. And...kebabs.

Don't Play No Mo'

Uber liberal NYT advised Dems they no longer have to campaign on climate change. After a decade of failed predictions the public is turned off and tuned out...so say All the New that's Fit to Print.

In 2018, as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was coming into prominence, she told us that we had a mere 12 years to fix the climate problem or we would all die. In that time, untold trillions of dollars have been spent by the government, along with basically every business in the country, to hold the weather at bay, even though every prediction the alarmists have made has fallen flat.

It's not just the expense of climate alarmism, it's what it has kept us from doing, as well. How much would a gallon of gas cost today had we been drilling for oil instead of pretending we all had to switch to electric cars by next Tuesday?

Now, finally, after 50 years of hysteria, The New York Times, the very Grey Lady with her hair on fire over climate change this whole time, tells us it's not such a big deal after all!

Al "Inconvenient Truth" Gore made his $$$, so he couldn't care less. Gates has switched his attention to "poverty". Even whack job Greta Thuneberg, famous for...er, absolutely nothing...has abandoned in favor of the Palestinians.

And...don't ever forget the so-called Inflation Reduction Act of Joe Biden. Not counting three years of extended subsidies for the Un-Affordable Care Act, it included almost $800 billion for Green Energy boondoggles. Now even the Libs say it was all BS.

Migrants Leaving in Droves - Voluntarily.

Migrants abandoning asylum claims and leaving the US on their own are up 700% under Trump. Called "deterrence".

Putin Feeling the Heat

Security around him has been increased dramatically following escalating fear of coups. No wonder this weekend he said..."The war (in Ukraine) is coming to an end."

Personal threats combined with the fact the Ukrainian drones have thwarted every Russian advance.

Xi's Priorities

As reported earlier, China's economy is a mess on many fronts. The property bust has been going on for decades. What's humming is the military complex. Investments are super heavy in manufacturing and technology dedicated to military might. Plan to double nukes by 2030. Wonder what he has in mind. Hah!

Interesting

Gallup poll shows the gap between young and old regarding prospects for "a good job" is greater than in any other country. Surprisingly, at least to me, younger people are TWICE as positive as those over 55.

Stock Prices Remain "Positively" Impervious

Why? Could be the good stuff going on in the world, outside Iran.

  • Venezuela seems on the right path. Cuba is teetering.

  • Ukraine war might be "winding down".

  • China has backed off on its Taiwan Takeover rhetoric. Leaning toward a more peaceful alliance (or takeover).

  • Latin American countries are booting left wing leaders and their bonds reflect the move toward democracies.

  • We are no longer dependent on foreign oil.

  • AI has such amazing potential and we are still in the lead.

Who is Judge Zia Faruqui?

He is the magistrate judge who just apologized to suspected would-be Trump assassin Cole Allen for his treatment inside a Washington, D.C., jail. Faruqui bucked the Trump administration over the city's crime crackdown, and is praised for his career-long commitment to DEI.

"To me, it’s extremely disturbing that he (Allen) was put in five-point restraints." Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui, adding that Allen is presumed innocent. He then compared Allen, who is accused of trying to kill President Donald Trump, with suspected Capitol rioters from Jan. 6, 2021.

"At a minimum, I should be apologizing to him. I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to."

This is what we're dealing with. This is why the Luigi Mangione's are portrayed as heroes of the oppressed while ICE agents doing their jobs are doxed and hunted. Upside down.

A 250 Fact

"Oh Say Can You See..." These famous opening words to our national anthem were penned by lawyer Francis Scott Key, a 35 year old lawyer.

On a rainy September 13, 1814, British warships sent a downpour of shells and rockets onto Fort McHenry in Baltimore Harbor, relentlessly pounding the American fort for 25 hours. The bombardment, known as the Battle of Baltimore, came only weeks after British forces attacked Washington, D.C., burning the United States Capitol, the Treasury and the White House (then known as the President’s House). It was another chapter in the ongoing War of 1812.

At the time, Scott Key, being detained by the British offshore at the time, watched as the barrage of Fort McHenry began some eight miles away.

“It seemed as though mother earth had opened and was vomiting shot and shell in a sheet of fire and brimstone,” Key later wrote. Given the scale of the attack, Key was certain the British would win. The hours passed slowly, but in the clearing smoke of “the dawn’s early light” on September 14, he saw the American flag—not the British Union Jack—flying over the fort, announcing an American victory.

Dubbed the Defense of Fort McHenry, Key's poem did not turn into a song until his brother-in-law set it to music and called it The Star-Spangled Banner.  It was then presented to Congress nearly a century later to become the nation's formal anthem. The song remained popular throughout the 19th century, emerging as a symbol of unity during the Civil War, but only became the U.S.’s official national anthem in 1931.

Wasn't NC in Our Corner?

Uh - not so much.

Democratic Senate candidate and former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper is being ripped as a "complete failure" after hundreds of inmates released under his administration as part of a COVID-era agreement were rearrested on new charges within two years.

A Covid-era agreement was the excuse to release 3,500 inmates over a 180-day period from February to August 2021. Among those released was Tyrell Brace, who was charged with first-degree murder in the killing of young father Elante Thompson in Charlotte. Brace previously pleaded guilty to assault by strangulation and assault inflicting serious injury and also had felony larceny and breaking-and-entering convictions.

Data from the North Carolina Sentencing and Policy Advisory Commission revealed more than 560 inmates released during the Cooper administration were arrested for new offenses within two years of their release. Lunacy. But inmates can vote.

Time for Some Levity

AOC makes Yogi Berra sound downright erudite. Here's a few gems.

  1. ‘Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs.’

  2. ‘We need to take back all three chambers of Congress… uh, rather, all three chambers of government: the presidency, the Senate, and the House.’

  3. ‘We need to invent technology that’s never even been invented yet.’

  4. ‘The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.’ (Still have 5 years to go, Yay.)

  5. “There’s scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult. And it does lead young people to have a legitimate question: Is it okay to still have children?

  6. ‘The Green New Deal… we set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast.’

  7. ‘Amazon is paying zero in taxes… they’re paying their workers wages so low that they’re on food stamps.’

  8. ‘The reason that the sergeant-at-arms is here today is because people are dying.’

  9. ‘We don’t have a plan… to pay for it.’ (On Green New Deal costs)

  10. ‘Billionaires… shouldn’t exist.’

  11. ‘Justice is about making sure that being polite is not the same thing as being quiet.’ WTF?

And the latest...The revolutionary war was "fought against billionaires of their time". Errr...actually no it wasn't. It was fought over property rights and excessive taxation. But nobody in the bar cared. How in heaven's name did U Chicago let her speak?

She recently outlined her aspirations. Way bigger than some title or position. Want's to change America. Oh great.

Okay, okay, She's not as hilarious as Kamala's word salads.

Am I Alone?

I really don't like "roasts". I did a bit in the days of Don Rickles, but no more. They make me cringe. I turned Brady's off. Heard a couple of jokes from the recent Kevin Hart roast.

Pete Davidson poked fun at fellow comedian Tony Hinchcliffe saying.. “Tony Hinchcliffe is here, looking like both a child molester and the doll they give the child to show where he touched them. Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, in that he’s definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat.” Get it? Kirk was assassinated from a bullet in the neck.

Another joke was..."You've done good Kevin. The black community is so proud. George Floyd is looking up at us all laughing so hard he can't breathe."

Sorry but these make me cringe a lot more than laugh uproariously.

Sorry again... for the rambling.
