If you get caught in the State of  Washington, check your lawyer's credentials.

Recently the Washington State Supreme Court ruled…

Prospective lawyers will no longer have to pass the bar exam to work in Washington, the state Supreme Court ruled in a pair of orders authorizing alternative pathways to licensing.

The exam "disproportionately and unnecessarily blocks marginalized groups from entering the practice of law" and is "at best minimally effective for ensuring competent lawyers," the Bar Licensure Task Force determined.

Isn’t that dandy.  Your life is on the line and you find out your esteemed counselor has nothing more than a driver’s license.  Bye bye, meritocracy.  Talk about criminal injustice.

For more of the same, listen to the citizens of Portland, OR bemoan the wretched conditions in their once beautiful metropolis.

Mail In Voting – we stand alone.

Congratulations US of A.  In another category, we set the bar.

The following jurisdictions DO NOT PERMIT mail in voting

·       France since 1975 – due to fraud

·       Mexico since 1992 – due to fraud

·       Belgium since 2018 – reason fraud.

·       Neither do Sweden, Italy, Russia or Japan.

·       Nor do any Latin American or Middle Eastern nations.

·       But the good ole USA does.

In case you don’t fancy Biden or Cackling Kamala, here’s Gavin…

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has to reconcile a $73 billion budget deficit by the end of June, a problem some lawmakers and analysts say his "mismanagement of state finances" helped create.

In 2022, Newsom signed a $301 billion budget into law and boasted a $97 billion surplus. The budget, nearly triple what it was the prior fiscal year, included billions of dollars for climate change initiatives, homelessness and education. But two years later, the deficit has ballooned.

Democratic lawmakers came to an agreement Friday to reduce the state's multibillion-dollar deficit by $17.3 billion through a combination of spending cuts, delays and deferrals, a deal reached behind closed doors Republican lawmakers quickly labeled as "gimmicky."

"This most recent deal that he's touting is all reliant on budget gimmicks, cause shifts and deferrals, which, when you look at the numbers, it's clearly not enough," Vince Fong, Assembly vice chair of the budget committee  told Fox News Digital. "We have a sustainability problem. We have an overspending problem in California, and nothing the governor is working on tackles that."

Oh, and on top, that he raised minimum wage to $20 per hour.  Here comes increased prices and robots.  There goes minimum wage jobs.  No wonder we need illegal aliens.

Meanwhile the DeSantis train rolls on.    “Florida no longer in play as a swing state as GOP voters surge over Dems by nearly 900K.”

Throw Them All Out!

Back when I was a lad, I used to think the bad guys were the Communists and their Socialist kinfolk.  You know the Lefties.  Then I started to realize that most all Liberals were up to no good and wanted to fundamentally change the country to suit their needs.  Later, starting with Carter, the Clintons and Obama, it dawned on me that Liberal was a synonym for Democrat, because 90% of Dems are fully indoctrinated, card-carrying liberals.

In the past three years I have reached a new peak in political cynicism.  I now believe 90% of ALL POLITICIANS are self-serving, deceitful incompetents.  Career politicians aside (and there are boatloads of these now that holding elected office has become the surest path to self-enrichment), even those who go into politics after achieving high net worth doing something valuable are just as bad.

There can be little doubt that the current administration is an utter fiasco.  But, what about the clown show the Republicans in Congress are putting on?  We can’t agree on ketchup versus mustard.  We have the slimmest margin in the House in history so it’s not like we can tolerate a few dissenters.

I say broom them all.

DEI – The law of the land.

The State Department has announced that to be considered for promotion employees must pass a DEI test.

The State Department implemented a policy to base eligibility for advancement on an employee's ability to pass a loyalty test in diversity, equity and inclusion In order to be considered for promotions and higher pay following President Biden's executive order, State Department employees must demonstrate specific actions taken to promote DEI.

While it downright scary to contemplate that the surgeon operating on your brain tumor, the air traffic controller directing hundreds of passenger-filled flights or the lawyer defending your freedom were chosen based largely (or even a little bit) on ethnicity or race, it is, in fact, much less alarming to know that MERITOCRACY matters not with career government employees, who rarely do anything of consequence anyway.  I guess it matters little the basis for their selection.

The order was also responsible for the formation of senior DEI positions, such as the one previously held by Abercrombie-Winstanley and now occupied by Zakiya Carr Johnson, the new State Department diversity chief.

Carr Johnson has made waves over her past remarks blasting America as a "failed historical model."   These are the kind of people Biden puts in charge!

WWIII

(Excerpted from column by Hugh Hewitt published 4/11/24)

Is the United States at war this April, 2024? Was it at war in November, 1941?

Of course we are, just as we were on the eve of Pearl Harbor. And...just as then, many Americans including the president are unaware of it.

If you have any doubt, ask the families of Sgt. William Jerome Rivers of Carrollton, Georgia; Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders of Waycross, Georgia; and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett of Savannah, Georgia, killed in Jordan in January. President Biden, on the Sunday after the murders by drone, announced that the drone came from "radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq."

Get it? Iran ordered those soldiers killed. We are in an undeclared war with Iran, as is Israel.  How long will it be before Iran abandons its cloak of cowardice and strikes directly at Israel from Iranian soil, thus bringing this barely hidden war into the open.  Yet, Biden is more concerned with appeasing Progressives and winning in November, so he and his lame Cabinet cronies chastise and threaten the nation of Israel to back down or else.

Though President Biden may not fully grasp it because he is increasingly and obviously infirm (and our enemies know it)— the triumvirs he rules in the name of —Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Austin and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan— surely do know this fundamental fact. If they don’t, they are stupid, and they are not stupid. They do seem, however, afraid.

The United States is at war with a three-tiered partnership of evil actors. Like a law firm with a managing partner, senior partners, junior partners and associates, our enemies confront a firm led by China, with senior partners Russia and Iran and junior partners North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela and many associates the most visible of which are Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis. The South American and Mexican drug cartels, like the remnants of ISIS and ISIS-K, are wannabe serious enemies but denied either formal territory or significant armaments they are dangerous to Americans but not "existential threats."

The partnership of predatory states is led by Xi Jinping at the top of the Leninist Chinese Communist Party. They are our enemies and until and unless we begin to treat that partnership of enemies as bent on our defeat and the defeat of our allies we will not be able to rally the West to its own defense.

Trump knows this.  Let’s hope when he is elected, he employs like-minded surrogates in State, Defense and Justice.  If he is not elected…I just can’t force myself to go there.

Have a nice windy weekend.  GB
