Job Market Strong - Not so fast.

In his blog Brian Westbury questions – Is the Job Market Really that Strong?
If you are like me, you may be wondering how, with all the atrocious blunders of the Biden administration, can the Stock and Job Markets be doing so well? Here’s part of the answer.
Headlines say the job market is strong. Nonfarm payrolls rose 275,000 in February beating the consensus of 200,000. Have risen an average of 229,000 per month in the last year.
Well…not so fast.
Payroll “claims” in January and December were revised downward by 167,000 – the largest monthly downgrades since 2008 (the beginning of the financial crisis). This means February was just 108,000 above the originally reported level. And – in the private sector – the gain was a paltry 19,000 jobs.
While payrolls are up 2.7 million in the last year, CIVILIAN EMPLOYMENT is up only 0.7 million. And the unemployment rate has risen. Lots of new jobs in government though. Big surprise.
The “MAIN” in Mainstream Media
For years now, it has been a well-documented fact that Mainstream Media has been firmly in the camp of the so-called Progressives even before the misleading label, Progressive, was coined. In the old days, they were referred to as Leftist-Liberals.
For a long time, it puzzled me as to how MM could be that influential when viewership for lefty bastions such as CNN and MSNBC were plummeting. How could MM continue to be manipulating so many with their biased fake news, if fewer and fewer were tuning in?
Then, duh, the light went on. Mainstream Media is not only CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WAPO etc. It is also Social Media. It is Google with its biased searches and X (when it was Twitter) and Facebook. Those are the real left wing propaganda tools.
The article that follows, as an example, details 41 cases in the past 16 years where Google interfered directly in US elections. In each case, they directly harmed candidates who harmed their choice of left-wing candidate. Either by acts of commission or omission, such as the Hunter laptop.
All I can say is it’s a good thing Musk bought one of these at least.
Used to be I thought Google was a nifty, quick way to get facts and information I sought. Now I’m not all sure. Can you imagine when they are doing with AI? Kids can now get term papers written using AI, I hear. That’s just dandy. Another tool to brainwash our young.
Ever heard of Blockchain technology?
Well, I’m the last person to be providing a tutorial on technology. Hell, I’m having enough trouble getting Caught My Eye up and running. But, I did learn two things. It’s not just for Bitcoin transactions and it presents a big security threat to both individuals and our nation.
Everyone knows the problem with TikTok: under current law in China, its owners are required to support, assist and cooperate with Chinese national intelligence efforts. In other words, this law is equivalent to a blank check for Chinese spy agencies.
This is not the Chinese Communist Party’s first attempt at capturing swaths of American data via digital information infrastructure. In 2013, Huawei Telecommunications, a Chinese-owned company, attempted to penetrate the U.S. market, with a focus on telecommunication, cloud computing, and mass data capture.
Within the next decade, every American will have sensitive, private data stored using this relatively new technology – blockchain. This new technology is also an innovation that China is heavily investing in – posing a colossal national security and data privacy problem.
Failure to act now could result in a disaster 1,000 times worse than China’s ownership of TikTok
That’s why this new problem is so alarming. Right now, we’re on the verge of handing over access to Social Security numbers, passwords, credit card numbers, bank details and America’s entire digital DNA by storing it on blockchain.
Blockchain technology is a cloud-based storage technology. Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that his country should "seize the opportunities" presented by blockchain technology, and China is working toward that end by developing the Blockchain Service Network.
Congress must do everything we can to ensure the federal government is not giving China a backdoor to access critical national security intelligence or Americans’ private information.
Many experts think it’s never been more important for the federal government to take this threat seriously and act now with a coordinated response to counter the vulnerability before it’s too late. They say the threat is real. We must not allow the Chinese government to use blockchain technology as a modern-day Trojan horse to infiltrate our systems and manipulate our most sensitive data.
Remember this…
"I think what you're going to see is that Russia will be held accountable if it invades. And it depends on what it does. It's one thing if it's a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do."
This was Biden’s position in January 2022 when asked what he would do if Russia invaded Ukraine. Talk about greenlighting Vlad! Another example of how his feckless leadership strikes fear into absolutely No One.
Meanwhile we’ve poured $200 billion into the war and 500,000 lives have been lost. Guess it wasn’t a minor incursion.
No Trust in Federal Government
…is becoming a bigger and bigger problem every day that goes by. In the past – until possibly Clinton or certainly Obama, I feel it was widely held that, regardless of whether you agreed on every point, the President of the United States, the Congress as a body and the Supreme Court could be trusted to do the “right thing” at the end of the day. That, on balance, they did not intentionally support or implement actions that were designed solely for political purposes if said were clearly contrary to the best interests of the American citizenry.
For sure that is no longer the case. Almost everything Biden (and Obama before him) does is intended to keep Democrats in power forever and, thus, be able reconstitute the way America works. So that they can institutionalize the Woke principles initiated by Obama and briefly interrupted by Trump. These include, first and foremost, open borders and election tampering.
Think of the ways Biden has weakened America. Here’s a few:
· He has starved our military and shown our enemies time and again we are unwilling and unprepared to defend our principles, our promises and our partners abroad.
· Opened the borders to millions of illegal aliens with draconian consequences so they can eventually tip the scale on elections.
· Polluted our educational systems with DEI, historical falsehoods and gender dysphoria. And in so doing corrupt the minds of your young and render them unprepared for the future.
· Promoted practices which clearly interfere with election outcomes, including ballot harvesting.
· Squandered our energy security and self sufficiency by promoting green practices, which are wholly unable to meet our needs and are wreaking havoc with major industries.
· What did I forget?
But, not to worry.
Look who’s in the wings!
Since being the first to drop out of the 2020 Democratic primaries for woefully low support, it’s been all downhill for Veep Kamala.
As the first ever Black Female elected Vice President, she had the ultimate in job security. Man, did she capitalize.
Her first (only) job assignment was to sort out the border problem. Instead of addressing the root cause of open borders and a Biden welcome mat, she decided to focus on helping the countries from which the illegals are fleeing to “reshape” their economies. That way everyone would stop deserting the sinking ship. Traveling to Nicaragua, Honduras etc. and handing out taxpayer dollars was Kamala’s solution. How has that worked out?
With burgeoning concern that, even if elected and with new shoes, the forgetful old man may VERY WELL not last another four years, it must be reassuring to know that the only politician with lower ratings than ole Joe is cackling Kamala! Never fear, she has assured us all she’s ready to step up.
Talk about throwing competency and meritocracy out the window. Wow.
More Lawfare Idiocy
Trump has been ordered to remit a $454 million bond in the NY case alleging he overstated his asset values while applying for funding on real estate projects. To qualify, he must have $1 billion in liquid funds.
And here’s the good part…
The court did NOT find that anyone was harmed. Records show Trump was overzealous in encouraging lenders to do their own due diligence. So – bottom line? Nobody was harmed and the guy has to post a half billion-dollar bond in case he skips. Because - if he skips - the bond can be used to pay damages owed to…uh, NOBODY!
