Biden tasks VP Harris with stemming flow of illegals crossing border.

WASHINGTON — "President Joe Biden announced Wednesday that he has appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead efforts to stem migration across the U.S.-Mexico border, as the administration faces growing political pressure to address a surge in undocumented migrant children unaccompanied by parents.

Biden said during an immigration meeting at the White House that he had asked Harris to lead the administration's efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle — El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, countries that will "need help stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border."

But now the desperate Libs and their LSM allies claim - she was "never the Border Czar."

Well, Border czar or not, here is what she and her lame duck boss beget

Little doubt why FBI Director Christopher Wray (no fan of Trump's) said if this continues we should count on another 911-type attack. Isn't that just Dandy?

In a recent interview, Texas Governor Greg Abbott reported that he has NEVER spoken to Kamala Harris. As in not ever. Texas comprises 2/3 of the Southern border. In the Lester Holt interview while evading his question whether she'd visited the border, she flippantly replied, "I haven't been to Europe either, So what." Truth is she did visit Texas once. She went to El Paso (Not Eagle Pass where illegal crossings reached 9000 PER DAY). EP (El Paso) was, of course, stridently purged of all illegal immigrant symptoms several days before Kamala arrived.

PS: Since Governor Abbott put wire across the river, EP (as in Eagle Pass) crossings are down to one per day - and down over 85% across the entire Texas border. Simple, eh? As simple as the one page letter Abbott handed Biden when he visited. BTW - it took Biden three full years as President before he visited the US-Mexico border.

Like Father like Daughter.

To Put a Fine Point on It

Everywhere we turn these days we hear about the existential threat Donald Trump (and now JD) represent to American Democracy.

Just to be annoyingly fastidious concerning this inflammatory rhetoric, we are not now nor have ever been a Democracy. A democracy is a system whereby everyone gets a vote on everything (literarily). A popular vote (which we now use pretty much only in elections) would be invoked to decide all matters. Under such an incomprehensibly unwieldy system, citizens could no longer earn a living, raise children, enjoy leisure activities or even have time to eat or sleep. They would be far too busy voting.

America, as all CME readers surely know, is a Constitutional Republic.

America’s founders purposefully created a mixed-Republic with democratic features to ensure a lawful popular government. In simple terms, they wanted to avoid both MONARCHY and MOB RULE, so they went with a mixed system. With that in mind, our constitution is both democratic and republican by design (which speaks to why the major parties are Democrats and Republicans). Certain decisions are made democratically (like electing the President if you don't cheat) and others (most) by duly elected representatives.

So, get it right okay? Donald J Trump represents an existential threat to the Constitutional Republic.

I know, I know. Don't need a civic lesson. College Kids and Liberals may.

Figures don't lie, but Liars Figure. Lies, damned lies and statistics.

Pete Buttigieg dared Americans to look up crime data. Fortunately, Reporter Jared Krantz did just that. Here is what he found.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg declared on "Fox News Sunday" this past weekend that Republicans are offering a "false message" about the nation’s crime crisis. He scolded Fox News for "trying to make people think that crime is up when crime is down under Joe Biden and crime was up under Donald Trump." He said this isn’t reported on Fox News, "so if you’re watching this at home, do yourself a favor and look up the data."

While Democrat-paid social media influencers celebrated Buttigieg, he should probably stick to creating electric vehicle propaganda videos for social media. Anyone reviewing the data would know he’s using a politically dishonest statistical sleight of hand--blaming Trump for crime going up thanks to the very policies Democrats instituted, then crime going "down" after the policies were reversed.

Major cities across the country, mostly run by Democrats, saw a tumultuous period of crime rates spurred by progressive "criminal justice reforms" and police defunding thanks to Democrats who acquiesced to the demands of Black Lives Matter radicals.

As police departments were defunded, the nationwide murder rate surged 30% in 2020, making it the largest single-year increase in over a century. The next year, we saw a 4.3% increase in murders nationwide. Prior to the reforms, under Trump, violent crimes were going down.

Leveraging the COVID pandemic as a pretext, Democrats either stopped booking criminals or released them early, claiming they’d face imminent death from COVID if they were to stay locked up. For example, Cornelius Haney was released from prison early over COVID when he was arrested for the murder of a 21-year-old woman in Denver. Two days after Jerry Crawford was released from prison to reduce the spread of COVID, he was arrested for shooting an 18-year-old man to death.

While Buttigieg and other Democrats try to memory-hole reality, we saw a terrifying rise of left-wing political violence perpetrated by activists, including Antifa, with criminals taking advantage of soft-on-crime legislation, such as a ban on police vehicular pursuits in Washington state and downgrading serious felonies by George Soros-backed prosecutors in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.

When Biden took office, cities like Philadelphia and Indianapolis broke all-time records with 561 homicides and 271 homicides respectively. Portland, Oregon, meanwhile, hit its all-time homicide high in 2022.

It wasn’t just homicides that soared.

Overall, crime was on the rise in New York, marked by a historic explosion of assaults hitting nearly 28,000 for the first time in recorded history. Thanks to state law that offers only misdemeanor charges for theft under $950 in value, Los Angeles and San Francisco saw the nation’s top two highest organized retail theft, leading to billions in losses for the city’s business communities. Motor vehicle thefts in 2022 compared to 2019 saw triple digit percentage increases in Denver (179%), Chicago (136%), and St. Louis (109%). Washington state saw an astonishing 10,000% increase in catalytic converter theft between 2019 and 2022.

Unsurprisingly, crimes including murders were undercounted in the aftermath of Democrat criminal justice reforms, thanks to the change in how the FBI collects and reports data. It was missing data from thousand of law enforcement agencies, including those in New York, Chicago, and New Orleans.

As crime rates soared, public sentiment shifted towards re-evaluating the efficacy of these reforms. By late 2022, many cities began to rollback these policies and restore funding to their police departments. The reintroduction of these more stringent policing measures and increased police presence led to a noticeable decline in crime rates in 2023-2024.

After murders surged by 43% in 2022 compared to 2021, the San Antonio Police Department unveiled a "very simple strategy" by sending officers to proactively police in the neighborhoods with the most 911 calls for violent crimes. After refunding the Portland Police Bureau, the city saw a 22% drop in overall shootings and 23% decrease in homicides in 2023. These strategies were the exact opposite of what Radical Left activists demanded.

But crime going down from record highs doesn’t mean crime is down to pre-reform levels, which is precisely what Buttiegeg would have you believe.

Annual homicides in Denver dropped 4% in 2023 (with 72). It’s still 14% higher than what it was in 2019 (63). Homicides in Albuquerque saw a 21% dip in 2023 (95). Yet that’s still 86% higher than in 2018 (51). Washington D.C., meanwhile, had more homicides at 274 than in any other year in the two decades. Seattle, where I’m based, experienced a precipitous rise in homicides in 2020, but hit an all-time high in 2023.

The next time Democrats want to celebrate a Biden administration official for dunking on Fox News, it would behoove them to have a grasp on the facts, not left-wing talking points better suited to the left-wing echo chamber that is MSNBC.

So when Kamala declares that based on years as a prosecutor she knows that more Police on the street doesn't bring crime down, she's either ignorant or blatantly deceitful. Could be both I suppose.

"We all know THEY ARE STUPID." (referring specifically to 18 to 24 year olds).

Kamala reminded us of this irrefutable axiom during remarks made May 8, 2014 - early on in her brilliant public career. She amplified by saying, "That is why we put them in dormitories and have resident advisors."

Aside: I was a tad worried we wouldn't have quite as much material after Sleepy was shown the door. Aha, not to worry, my friends, not to worry.

Root Cause

As I listened to reports of the IDF attempt to kill the Hezbollah Leader who orchestrated the missile attack in Israel that killed 12 children two days ago, a thought came to mind. Root cause.

I first encountered this simple concept during my first year of consulting in 1972. Has I been more studious I am sure it would have been learned much earlier. As we all know, root cause is nothing more than the idea that one must be certain, when trying to change things or solve a problem, they are dealing with its true cause - and a set of symptoms. In the simplest example, pain is a symptom but not the cause.

Why did I have this seemingly random thought as a byproduct of Hezbollah's latest terrorist attack? Simple - Iran.

Iran is the root cause of the October 7 attack, this latest one and, as a matter of fact, practically every attempt to destroy Israel and all hopes for peace in recent memory.

The root cause is NOT the three H's. Hamas, Hezbollah or the Houthis. These three yokels won't take a bathroom break without Iran's blessing. Now that Iran is flush with cash, thanks to Obama and Biden, it's balls to the wall. After pallets of cash, unfrozen bank accounts and freedom to sell all the oil they want to China, let the good times (or in this case, missiles) roll.

Add in the feckless Biden administration who allows terrorists to cross our border and protestors to burn our flag in honor of Hamas, no need worry. Iran knows it can push the US to brink and Israel into the Red Sea.

Only a President with the guts to do whatever it takes to support our allies and defeat our enemies can deal with the root cause - or even speak it aloud.

Another Biden Blunder

(provided by Tom Bubrick)

"You may have not noticed that once again Venezuela has held a rigged election. Only relevance here is again the stupid granting of relief by the Harris (then Biden) Administration of the sanctions implemented by DJT. In return ex-Bus Driver Nicholas Maduro agreed to hold free and open elections...lost by 35 or 40 percent, yet amazingly declared victory around 2 am Monday... go figure. Joe Biden relieved the sanctions and Maduro, just like Putin, the Mullahs, XI, just gave the middle digit to the USA once again."

Thanks Tom. You are right. I glossed over that. Distracted by Kamalot, Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, Ukraine and the other catastrophes around us. My bad.

PS: Heard Musk is willing to fight Maduro. Kinda like Biden and golf. Maybe no more tedious elections. Choose your sport and go at it. Over lots quicker.

Algerian Dude scores 46 second KO.

Imane Khelif stunned (not) the boxing world when knocked our Gold medal finalist Angela Carini of Italy. Took the TS only 46 seconds to hammer the lady into oblivion. "Never been hit so hard." Khelif, for the record was disqualified from the World Games for when tests showed he was a dude.

More than the shots to the head it must hurt like hell to train for years, make it to the gold medal round and then have it stolen. Carini's sobs told the story.

Italy’s ANSA quoted Rosario Coco, the president of Gaynet Communications in Italy, as saying that he learned Khelif was intersex and not transgender. WTF is intersex? Another new gender. What's the correct pronoun?

What Trump said? What Harris said?

Just broken - Another He-She trounces female opponent. Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-Ting won a Paris Olympics fight against Uzbekistan’s Sitora Turdibekova on Friday handily, 3-0. The judges scored each round for Lin in the dominating performance. Lin’s height and reach proved to be the biggest difference in the match as Turdibekova appeared to just be outmatched.

Meanwhile Trump promises he will never allow men to compete against women while Harris remains mute.

Intersectionality

This is, to me at least, a new term that is very likely to gain popularity over the next 95 days.

How Badly Libs Want Us to Forget.

Schumer extolled Joe Biden's recent decision to buy 5 billion barrels of oil for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. This is the same guy who screamed when Trump wanted to buy 3 billion barrels in 2020 for the same purpose. Difference? Biden paid $77 a Bbl. Trump was going to pay $37 a barrel. The Art of the Deal.

Similarly, Libs claim Trump ran up the debt as much as Biden. Difference? Trump faced a pandemic and borrowed while interest rates were at near zero. Biden faced no such calamity and interest rates are at a 20 year high.

Two good examples of why it's pointless to listen to the LSM unless you are prepared to investigate their every claim.

How about a slogan for Kamala?

"I was for it before I was against it."

Not original though. Was first used by the former Climate Czar (who used private jets to fly to Davos), former Presidential candidate, John F Kerry.

Interesting Point from White Dudes for Kamala

"Abortion makes men free as well as women."

You bet it does. No need to spend on protection. Just let 'er rip.

All Israel Wants...

Is to live in peace. All they want to stop this war is a Palestine ruled by Someone who acknowqledges Israel has a right to exist. Seems a small ask.

And to close..

A Meno of Word Salads from the Queen of Comedy

On the Hostage Exchange

"This is just extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy, and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy and strengthening alliances,"

No doubt. no doubt.

On Community Banks

"We invested an additional $12 billion into community banks, because we know community banks are in the community, and understand the needs and desires of that community as well as the talent and capacity of community."

On Jamaica during Covid

"We also recognize just as it has been in the United States, for Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way of its impact has been the pandemic. So to that end, we are announcing today also that we will assist Jamaica in COVID recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential to, I believe, what is necessary to strengthen not only the issue of public health but also the economy."

On Roe v Wade

"I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled. Certain issues are just settled."

On Russian Oil after They Invaded Ukraine

"As you know, on this issue, for example, we applaud Germany in terms of what it has done as it relates to Nord Stream 2. As it relates to what we need to do domestically as well as what we need to do in terms of this issue generally, we have, as the president said, to reevaluate what we’re doing in terms of strategic oil reserves here in the United States to make sure that it will not have an impact, or we can mitigate the impact on the American consumer."

Honestly I think Elaine as VEEP is better qualified than this one. Unless of course you having a Jest Jamboree.

About???

“So, I think it’s very important, as you have heard from so many incredible leaders, for us at every moment in time — and certainly this one — to see the moment in time in which we exist and are present, and to be able to contextualize it, to understand where we exist in the history and in the moment as it relates not only to the past but the future,”

Indeed. Indeed.

This is a Truly Rare Opportunity

We get to choose between two candidates and we know exactly what they will do. No guessing. Trump will do as he did in his first term with greater confidence and efficiency. Harris will do what Biden did with a deedcxidely LEFT slant. We will have the same difficul;ty understanding her although for different reasons.

So remember...The Past Trumps The Promises.
