Trump at it again.

Few of you are old enough to recall that line which Ronald Reagan used numerous times to chastise Jimmy Carter (at the time the Worst ever) in the 1980 debates.  It was basically Reagan’s charming way of calling JC a fabricator.  Seems here goes good ole Donald again.

Threatened NATO that if he is elected, he won’t defend those countries that are behind in paying their bills.  He did this during his first term.

And he’s started to get real nasty on Nikki.  Made fun of her missing husband, who is apparently on duty overseas as part of his service commitment.  And now has started calling her Birdbrain. Now I don’t love Haley because I think she’s a devious gold-digger; but a birdbrain she is not.  If she is, why did Trump appoint her as UN ambassador?

So unnecessary.  No way such childish insults win him undecideds or independents.  No longer even funny and certainly not clever.

So, we’re down to a confused, old man with a poor memory and a nasty SOB, who can’t keep his foot out of his mouth.  Isn’t that just dandy?

Biden’s Border – look what he did.

And now back to Joe.  We’ve been reading for months how disingenuous are the border security claims coming from Biden, Harris, Mayorkas (just impeached), Jean-Pierre and other luminaries in the clown show known as the Biden Administration.  “Numbers are way down, we’ve got it under control, the border is secure.”

None have been more dishonest that Biden’s continued insistence that “if he had the power he would fix this situation”.  It’s Congress’ fault.

Well, no it isn’t.

Starting in the first few hours of his Presidency over three years ago he began dismantling Trump’s immigration policies. He –

  • Stopped construction on the wall for which $16 billion was allocated.

  • Stayed deportations.

  • Canceled bans on travel into the US for those upstanding citizens of Somalia, Libya, Syria and our newest enemies, the Houthis of Yemen.  Come on in. As Waylon used to sing, "the door is always open and the lights on in the hall."

  • Canceled zero tolerance on illegal border crossers.

  • Restored the asylum debacle which Trump had at least partially tightened.

  • Etc.

Truth is that just as Joe rescinded the policies and plans that cut illegal immigration to a low of 30,000 a month at one point in Trump’s Presidency (versus 302,000 in December 2023), so too could he restore them.  If that is, he was more worried about the sanctity of our borders than his own reelection or integrity.  That is the problem with actions that are not codified by the legislative process.  Just as they are enacted with the “stroke of a pen”, so too can they be rescinded.

More Biden Fiascos

Oh, by the way, at the same time he was throwing open our borders, the well-meaning old man with the poor memory –

  • Killed the Keystone pipeline.

  • Implemented a passel of regulatory restrictions on fuel economy,  energy and emissions, which eviscerated our energy security.

  • Mandated extensive rules on racial equity throughout all federal agencies as well as increases in investments in communities of color.

  • Reversed numerous Trump policies on climate change and masks.

Oh yeah, and instead of giving an interview on Super Bowl Sunday, he launched his reelection campaign by joining Tik Tok, after ordering all federal agencies to remove Tik Tok from employee’s phones and system.  But then we all know Joe and Hunter have a special connection to the CCP.

Disparate Impact in Criminal Justice System

There is no doubt that DI is present in criminal justice statistics.  To wit:

  • 56% of all violent crimes are committed by Blacks.  13% of the US population is Black.  This means that Blacks commit violent crimes at a rate over 4 times higher than expected based on population.

  • 93% of all Black murder victims are killed by Blacks.

  • The argument that much of the disproportionately high incarceration rate among Blacks is due to minor drug offenses is completely BOGUS.  First incarceration for drug offenses almost always includes trafficking.  Second, 16% of all White incarcerations are for drug offenses, compared with only 13% for Blacks.

As noted in earlier posts, it has become harder and harder to get current statistics because results that reflect poorly on Blacks and minorities, whether it be criminality, test scores or otherwise, are increasingly made unavailable to avoid accusations of racism.

No doubt it’s Disparate Impact if the only fair, non-racist system would be to have no more than 13% of Blacks making up the prison inmate population.  So, what do you with the other 43% of Black committing violent crimes (56% - 13%)?  Why you cut ‘em loose or refuse to prosecute!

Illegals Help Sway Elections

Illegals can’t vote.  Or at least they’re not supposed to.  But they do matter.  The US Census Board counts all foreign-born residents in the census.  Regardless of legal status.  There are 16.8 million illegals in US in 6/23 (many more now).  Each 761,168 persons equals one House seat for that state.  That means immigrants account for 22 House seats.  Guess the color of the states most illegals reside in?  Yup.  Deep, dark blue.

It’s the Spending Dummy.

In the latest Congressional Budget Office report on government spending there are a number of alarming facts:

  • Our Debt (now $34T) is 129% of GDP.  That means the only countries worse off than the US using this universal metric are Japan, Venezuela, Sudan, Greece, Singapore, Eritrea, Lebanon and Italy.  Certainly, paradigms of fiscal virtue and prosperity. (For the record, had Biden gotten his way he would have added $22T more.)

The first complaint by the Dems is, of course, that the rich and Hunter don’t pay their fair share.

Newsflash – revenues are NOT the problem.

They were 17.3% of GDP for the last 50 years and they’re projected to be 17.8% through 2034 (next decade).  The problem is spending, which is now 23.5% of GDP and projected to worsen.

The federal government spent $4.4T in 2019 and $6.3T in 2022.  Although Covid was over, Biden extended benefits in Medicaid, Food Stamps etc.

The overwhelming portion of this profligate spending is increasing entitlements or mandatory spending.  Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and Interest payments.

Take interest rates on our massive debt.  Today we pay $870 billion in interest a year, which is equal to what we spend on defense.  No wonder we ran out of bullets.  By 2034, the CBO projects interest payments alone will cost $1.6T or TWICE what we now spend on Defense.

Discretionary spending, which is the money Congress gets to throw around to buy votes but does include Defense, was 10% of GDP in 70s and 80s.  It will be half of that by 2034, because there won’t be any money left after entitlements and interest.

The question is how much longer can politicians kick this can down the road?  Biden certainly isn’t going to cut spending.  And, Trump already pummeled Haley over reigning in Social Security.

How do you spell BROKE?  USA.
